As you know, Tokio Hotel was recently in Brazil, Peru, Chile and Mexico. UPPS Magazine from Uruguay has published reviews in their January 11, 2011 issue.

Here is the cover:

Tokio Hotel touring through Latin America!

The German band Tokio Hotel began their tour through Latin America on November 24, with an expected concert in Brazil. But also visited Perú, Chile, and México. Yes! We had them reaaaaally close! In this note, we tell you so many things that happened with the band that is, sweeping with everything!

Brazil

-There were rumors that the attendance to the Brazil concert had been poor: only 5000 fans. The thing is, the capacity for the venue where the guys were performing was set for that number of people. No room for even a needle!
-The band was surprised with the response on behalf of the Brazilian fans, who sang in almost perfect German each one of the songs that the guys performed. Bill, surprised said: “This is incredible. It’s really incredible, we didn’t expect this. Thank you”.
-Hundreds of girls cried throughout the entire concert (literally) from the emotion.
-The concert ended with “Forever Now” and lasted one hour and a half.

Perú

-”Screams”, “Euphoria” and “fans fainting”. These are the words that were mostly repeated on Peruvian press to summarize Tokio Hotel’s concert, at the Jockey Club in Lima.
-More than 8500 people were there, in their majority, girls.
-The (look) was more so futuristic.
-The amount of fans fainting grabbed a lot of attention. The girls, super emotional, would faint and the emergency crew had to assist some few dozen fans.
-The show’s special effects, pyrotechnics, and balls of fire were a highlight throughout the concert.
-Bill had a lot of costume changes.
-The Tokiomania was installed all around the Jorge Chávez airport, in spite of the long hour waits by the unconditional fans, they were not able to see their German stars up close since strong security was enforced, which quickly transferred the members of the band after arriving close to 11 at night.
-Either way, the official fan club in Perú (with more than 10 thousand members) wanted to make them a gift. What was it? Four chullos (traditional beanies/hats), a pair of charangos (traditional guitar-like instruments), a quena (woodwind instrument), and a cajón peruano(drum-like instrument in shape of box).

Chile

-9000 people filled the Movistar Arena del Parque O’Higgins, where Tokio Hotel offered their concert in Chile.
-The majority of the public were teens not older than 15.
-Before the performance, the German quartet, made time for social activities, donating a library and a music classroom to a Chilean educational complex (school).

México

-Even though the idea was to begin in Monterrey (northern Mexico), Tokio Hotel canceled that concert due to the insecurity in the city, generated by the fight between two drug trafficking cartels that has resulted in hundreds of deaths this year.
-”Due to security concerns, it will not be possible to procede with our show in Monterrey. We are profoundly sorry for this and wish for everyone’s sake that this security situation gets better as soon as possible”, indicated the German band via their web-page.
-The band led by Bill Kaulitz is not the first to make this decision when it comes to Monterrey: some months ago, the American trio the Jonas Brothers did the same.
-It was a shame, because the guys were going to perform in a venue (Arena Monterrey) with the capacity for 17,600 people. And according to reports from Mexican press, the majority of the tickets had been sold!
-The concert was carried out, finally, in Mexico City, at the Palacio de los Deportes. The euphoria from the fans of the German band caused them to stop playing for about 20 minutes since people were crushing one another, and there were more than two dozen unconscious girls.
-That was when the quartet was performing the song “World Behind My Wall”. The security personnel had to throw water to the fans that were closer to the stage.
-”Mexico City! Hola!, yesterday we went to the pyramids and it was incredible, our guide told us that he felt that this would be our best show Ever”, expressed Bill Kaulitz, which provoked collective hysteria.
-One day prior to the concert, hundreds of Tokio Hotel fans camped outside the Palacio de los Deportes, aiming to hold a good spot at the show.

A news article from Mexico about the crowd enthusiasm in Mexico which led to the concert being paused for a few minutes… thank you Mr. Google for the translation!

This article says it was Bill who asked that the concert be paused…

The fury unleashed by the presence of Tokio Hotel in Mexico caused fainting among his fans.

When they began to hear the first chords that opened the this German band concert at the Palacio de los Deportes Mexico City, the fans swarmed to try to get as close to the stage. The thrill of seeing their long-awaited idols made that these are put down and many more were
crushed by the crowd which pressed more and more.

Given this fact, the lead singer Bill Kaulitz, suspended Action half of the song “World Behind My Wall” and asked the security elements that restore law and order to prevent accidents.

After 20 minutes, during which aided to the unconsciousness and requested the public to back off for the safety of those who were in
front row, members of Tokio Hotel returned to front, apologized for the break and resumed his successful number for get out the best in its history.

And once again, Mexican media has embraced Tokio Hotel with presence on the cover and four pages inside. Their lead-in? “We undressed Bill Kaulitz”.

Translation by Vee – thank you from our hearts

We Undressed Bill Kaulitz

Bill Kaulitz is a difficult guy to figure out, that’s why we examined him so you get to know his true interior, you’ll love him!

By Edna

MOUTH:
Of few words!
His mouth is very small, but that does not matter because in reality he only opens it to say intelligent things, to sing, and to flatter any girls around him, even despite his short age he is super mature when it comes to expressing himself.

HANDS:
Talented!
Aside from having well painted nails, his hands are his main instrument to be able to create the music that makes you so happy, because with them he notes the rhythm of each of his songs, you didn’t know that?

LEGS:
Steps without fear!
Bill walks through life with a lot of confidence and conscience of the things he wants to achieve, he never backs down nor regrets taking a wrong step, he knows that all situations have a reason behind them.

HEAD:
Considerate of his fans!
Bill lives to make all his fans happy, the idea to please them is always revolving in his mind, even before a concert he becomes nervous worrying whether he’ll satisfy his fans, how sweet!

EYES:
Deadly Looks!
He has a big advantage: he knows what look to use to get what he wants; when he gives off sad puppy eyes is because he wants to ask for a favor, you’d fall for it!

HEART:
Sensitive!
Although his image reflects a bit of harshness, his heart gives him away; it’s well known that he loves to help others, he’s a sweetheart with his family and needless to say with his brother; he’d do anything for him, he’s the best!

BELLY:
Skinny!
He prefers to ear candy instead of a nutritious, delicious, and high protein dish, that’s why the handsome Bill is so skinny, he should eat better to look healthier, don’t you think?

Our diagnosis is…

Kaulitz is a super mature guy for his age, but he’s still not exempt from suffering of:

- Illness: Chronic Brotheritis
Cure: He has to stop resolving his brother’s life for him when he has a problem.

- Illness: Too Mature
Cure: He must relax and allow us to see how fun he could be with the press.

- Illness: Positively diva(o)
Cure: Each time they are taking a photo of him he poses too much, only when paparazzi catch him (unexpectedly) can we see the real him.

Do you think they are pretty accurate?

Tokio Hotel’s reception in Mexico could not have been more amazing, with fans camping for weeks waiting for the concert and a packed audience. La Reforma Magazine grabbed an interview with the band. Some surprising revelations inside!

- They hate having their privacy invaded
- They drank as much tequila as they could
- Bill has some pending projects related to modeling and acting

Mad Love and thanks to Vee for the translation!

Gustav, Tom, Bill, and Georg were surprised at learning their Mexican fans broke the record: they camped three weeks outside the Palacio de los Deportes.

Tokio Hotel will launch their album Best Of Tuesday the 14th – Hide their Privacy

Bill Kaulitz declares the band hates paparazzi because they ruin careers
by Juan Carlos Garcia

During the last three years the members of Tokio Hotel have assured that they’ve been obligated to become experts in the game of “hide and seek” because they hate paparazzi, anyone that attempts to get into their private lives and anyone that persecutes them day and night anywhere they visit.

The brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer declared, exclusively, that the price for fame they have aquired in their lustrous past they have paid with the constat harrasment by the media.

“Now that Tom and I live in Los Angeles we’ve noticed the nightmare that are paparazzi. There are paparazzi everywhere, and we don’t like them and prefer to hide from them. I hate paparazzi, we hate them, I think that photographers that are dedicated to that are the worst people in the world and should be bad persons to be in that business.”

“They make money off the lives of others without any effort, destroy lives, ruin careers, invade a human being’s privacy. I hate them”, Bill said during a conference that took place in a central hotel in the city.

The German quartet, formed less than a decade ago and is popular for hits like “Automatisch”, “Final Day”, and “Phantomrider”, commented that on Wednesday, when they arrived to Mexico City, they slipped away even from their staff to be able to tour around comfortably.

“We had loads of fun, at night, we ate delicious food and drank all the tequila that we could. We tried pulque*, I didn’t like it as much as the tequila. We were not even hungover, we are very good drinkers, it was a delight. Mexico means a lot of excitement for us, very warm, the sun, this weather is so lovely”, added Bill’s twin brother, Tom.

*fermented agave cactus juice; more info…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulque

In the meeting with the band, prior to their performance last night at the Palacio de los Deportes, they were impressed at learning that their Mexican fans were competing with Spanish fans to break the record of waiting the longest outside a venue where they would play, a mark that the country’s admirers have set…with three weeks!

“It’s incredible that fans make us feel, hearing that they’ve waited for three weeks for us is crazy, but it feels so great.”

“The fans have given us many things, they’ve been fun to even weird, they’ve given us rugs to decorative stars; well, they gave Georg many boxers because he likes them so much. Depends”, said Tom. (Note: Unclear if Tom was referring to Georg depending on the boxers, or just describing the gifts in general)

The pop-rock stars announced that this coming Tuesday December 14 their compilation album Best Of will go on sale, in which they include English and German songs that have made them famous all over the world, like “Monsoon”, “Scream”, and “Humanoid”.

With plans of modeling and acting

Tokio Hotel is already preparing their new album-studio release, tentatively by the end of 2011, anticipated their members. “We’re in Los Angeles talking with producers, writing, doing our homework. We want to make some collaborations, we want to experiment with new sounds. The album will be ready by the end of next year, I think.”

“Also I have some projects related to modeling and acting, I want to do more stuff but I don’t have enough time, I’m fascinated with what is to come.”, said Bill Kaulitz, vocalist of the quartet.

Bill Kaulitz has modeled a collection for Dsquared2.

He said it –
“We canceled the show in Monterrey (which would have been Tuesday) for the lack of safety happening over there. It was a decision by our team. We want to return there, there will be time [for that]“. Tom Kaulitz, guitarist and founder of Tokio Hotel
