Here are some videos from the photocall and events with Tokio Hotel on February 19th in Sanremo, Italy! It’s really interesting to see how chaotic those photocalls can be! Everyone yelling at them! But they sure looked good! The translations that follow are what has been gathered. If you feel they need something added, or want to offer a different translation, extra help is ALWAYS welcome!

19.02.2010 – San Remo Festival – Tokio Hotel Photocall

Press conference part 1, with translations following.

- Tonight you’ll play with an orchestra (Sanremo Festival Orchestra). How many times have you done the soundcheck? Are you scared to play with an orchestra?
Bill: We have done the soundcheck, has been great, the orchestra played very well. we are happy to perform tonight

- Are you scared?
Bill: No,absolutely. we are very happy

- When Madonna and Take That were here, we didn’t see a huge crowd outside Ariston theatre. How do you feel?
Bill: We arrived just a couple of hours ago we are very happy to see all that people because we didn’t know about that and we are very happy

- Do you always pay attention to what you do? Your performances are always very particular. Tonight will something special happen?
Bill: We’ll play with an orchestra and it’s just an awesome and particular thing. We are happy to perform in this different way, We are habit to perform in other way.
Tom: For what of very special Georg could do a striptease for the public

- About “Humanoid City Tour”, we will play in a lot of cities, also in France, in Nice, on 22nd March… Can you say something about this tour? Costumes, scenography?
Bill: We have been in London where we decided and prepared for the scenography of the stage. We’ll play in 4 dates, here in Italy. It’ll be a very particular tour about the design. Dean & Dan will be the fashion stylists

- Is it true that your singles talk about something of science fiction and the tour, too?
Bill: Yes, we want to do our city

- I know you are fan of David Bowie. He lived in Berlin for a couple of years. Have you been inspired by East Germany for your songs about him?
Bill: He’s really good singer. Every song is different and very particular.

Press conference part 2, followed by translations

- Do you believe in aliens? Have you ever seen one of them?
Bill: Yes, of course. I believe in aliens. I think there are other forms of life than ours. And I don’t think they are green or have the tails but they are like us.

- We have read on forums that you organized a charity for Haiti’s victims. Will you do other things like that and has it been your idea or the forum’s?
Bill: It has been the idea of fans but i’m very happy to take part in all this type of organizations. I’m always ready to give an hand for people who need it.

- Congratulation for your look. You are loved by alot of teenagers and you are a source of inspiration for them. Would you conquer a more mature public?
Bill: Thanks for the compliments about my look. We are a young group and for that reason young people listens us. But the important thing is that music is played for ourselves and it’s important that music are liked by the people who listen us. The age isn’t important.

- What would that be to teenagers who listen you?
Bill: We are 4 young men. We like play and sing. Every song has a message and we hope that this message connects to the people who listen us.

- How do you see yourself in 20 years?
Tom: We’ll be a little bit ugly and tired from being on tour all those years. We will sleep and relax but we will be on stage, one more time!

Bill will open the show

It has just been announced by Women’s Wear Daily on Twitter that Bill Kaulitz will open the show today for the DSquared Fashion Event in Milan. The runway resembles an ice rink.

Tokio Hotel Italian Appearance Feb 19th

“Tokio Hotel at Sanremo 2010! – Guests of February 19th show!” How announced Friday evening on the official Italian website, here the big surprise for all the italian fans of the band: Tokio Hotel will be honor guests of 2010 edition of Sanremo Festival!

Exactly, Bill, Tom, Gustav & Georg will be on the historic Ariston stage Friday February 19th!

Unmissable opportunity for Tokio Hotel to enter in the houses of all italians with their music and their notes and for all the italian fans will show live to in a national TV, with an huge audience what it means to be fans of TH in Italy!

So do not make commitments for February 19th: we’ll waiting for you at Sanremo, in the Ariston theatre and in the streets of the city: we’ll try to organize a memorable performance for you all!

Anyway, stay tuned on the official italian website to follow the updates that we’ll put online when we’ll have much details, and to know the initiatives that we’ll organize.

Good day all. Will try to update as much as possible to keep up with all the news coming in on the Fanclub but will be gone a couple hours in the middle of the day. Sorry about the watermarks on some of them. Fans get a little watermark happy.

I just came back from the hotel.
Total madness down there , the guys arrived around 4.30p.m and went straight to their rooms. They came out again later around 6.30, hair and make-up done. To me Bill looked like elvis presley or at least his hair did XDD
But they signed autographs to the girls on both sides of the entrance and then went away, headed to an interview.
I appreciated the boys who were kind and kept smiling throughout the whole thing despite the living hell going on around them.

DSquared Fashion Show

Official Announcement: BILL & TOM MONDAY AND TUESDAY IN MILAN! “The twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz, singer and guitarrist of german band Tokio Hotel, will seated in the first row, but other surprises are reserved for the parade’s guests that will be there January 19th, 10AM (Italian time). The brand, which has always been much loved by the players in the world of music and showbiz, recently announced the start of collaboration with Tokio Hotel: Dean and Dan Caten will design the costumes for their new tour Welcome to Humanoid City.

The tour will start the next February 22th in Luxemburg and go through for the all important European cities.

The look for the tour is still top secret, but this is a variety of leaders who combine a taste unconventional and experimental of Dsquared2 with the rock and ultramodern sounds of band.

JBK: World behind my wall – Tokio Hotel!
Nice to see you! Hi…
And great that you have time to jaw a bit and don’t flee.. yeah, come closer a bit. Everybody grabs his mic. We wanna try to come about a talk, I guess it won’t be easy, because of the fans. I’ve just said: Germany’s musical export nr. 1! How often were you actually in Germany, when you travel all around the world the whole year?

Bill: Well, I have to say, here and there we come from time to time to Germany and of course we all live in Germany and our families and friends are also here. Actually if we have time in the meanwhile, we’re here.

JBK: So you can still enjoy your home country?

Bill: Yeah, totally! Absolutely! For us it’s clear, Germany is the absolute nr. 1 for us, it’s our home in any case.

JBK: I imagine that organizationally it’s very difficult to be underway in the whole world, but although keeping contacts going and living this sense of home. If you’re in North America, in South America, in France, everywhere where Tokio Hotel is present in the vanguard, then concurrently keep this feeling for Germany, is not easy?

Tom: Well, I think it’s not that difficult, to be honest. You have this feeling of being home automatically. It’s not that we have to customize again when we’re in Germany. It’s really that everytime when you’re in Germany, you’re at home. That’s clear, I think, that’s completely automatic, to be honest.

JBK: Yeah.. Could you describe what the year 2009 was like, for you? It went higher and higher, you got international prizes…

Georg: A very stressful year, in any case. Eeeeh… a wicked year, a year full of fun, full of joy..

Bill: In any case, it really happened a lot of things. After every year it was that we thought ‘Okay, what’s next? What are we doing? How does it go on?’ And the new album came out and that it’s so well received and that it goes on so great for us, that isn’t normal in any case. You don’t expect that it will stay like this. This feeling is everytime like… new and a really great feeling.

JBK: But it’s crazy that if you made formerly planning for your tour, you said somewhere between Flensburg and Kempten, and with Cologne and Berlin, and Hamburg and Munich, by this time, you’ll play 2 concerts in Germany and you play international the whole time. That’s just crazy.

Bill: Yeah well, there’s a lot to do, in any case. We totally enjoy it. I mean, we just can do that because we have such great fans here in the beginning. If we wouldn’t have had this support from Germany , then it wouldn’t be possible. It was good, absolutely.

JBK: And is it actually possible to organize also a life beside the band life? Are you able to go through the streets with a hat and a wig and stay incognito? Is this your blessedness?

Georg: Well, I would say, we can do this definitely easier than Bill and Tom, they really get recognized by their tip of the nose.

Tom: I have to say that our personal life organizationally is simply a disaster, to be honest. You just don’t get to anything. You’re just a few days at home and I also let my bags packed.

JBK: That means living out of the suitcase also at home?

Bill: Yeah, totally! We just put down our 10 bags and… (don‘t understand, sorry :/ )

Tom: Well, Bill always forgets to wash them and then it always smells very unpleasant.

JBK: Please no more stories! Tom, when you say ‘You don’t get to anything’, what would you love to accomplish when you’re home?

Tom: Eh, I don’t know, I actually don’t intend to do something special. Actually I just want to relax, watch TV and yeah, to be together with my family and my dogs of course! We’re absolutely dog-fanatic and I enjoy the time with… (?)

JBK: Just to have a relaxed time..?

Bill: Well, actually we have a whole dog-kindergarten at home and 4 dogs, who are jumping all over the place the whole time, and every free time we spend with our dogs.

JBK: Anytime in the life of young men it is, that the dogs get replaced by young women.

Tom: It’s already the case here.

Bill: Well, Georg is the only one of us who is in a relationship and ehm…

Tom: It’s very sad for everyone now, but …

Bill: For Tom it was also really hard…

Tom: Yeah, it was a really hard time, because normally I ever played the first fiddle in Georg’s life before then…

Georg: But you still are very important to me…

JBK: A very very important part…
Bill, when I look at you, I think everytime ‘Well, girlfriend, dogs, journeys…’ Maybe once a Pizza Margherita, you’re so thin! (I haven’t found the one-to-one-translation for “Da ist ja gar nichts mehr dran!” :/ )

Bill: Unfortunately I just get water here by you.

JBK: Yeah, here is just water, right!

I’m very happy that you’re here and the whole evening I have been watching at a banner. Could you please make me a favor and write some autographs…? I’m looking the whole evening onto a banner of two girls where is written “Need a TH Autograph as Christmas present for my friend!”. Then I said ‘Okay, there I have to act as an ambassador and have to make it possible.’ Live signed in the TV. Now I act honestly… Here’s the autograph. They have been sitting here since 3,5 hours and have been waiting for it… No no no, without telephone number, just the autograph! That’ll have to do. No, no, NO! I’m very strict such cases! Then I become suddenly very grown up! But really, the whole evening I have been looking on this banner…
It was a great pleasure that we have such a great band, who is such an awesome export product and who provides a german business card in the music world and who has stayed still so cool and has such a relaxed performance here.

Tokio Hotel at Kerner Year In Review

Tokio Hotel History – 11.27.2006

Three years ago today, on November 27, 2006, Bill Kaulitz was at the premiere of Arthur und die Minimoys in Paris, France! This was the first chapter of Arthur! As you know, he has just attended the premiere for Arthur 2 earlier this week!

Wow. So so so so much news and pictures from the 22nd when Bill was in Berlin for the premiere of Arthur und die Minimoys! He stunned everyone in the snuggly sweater he wore, even making the Hommes Times, a men’s fashion blog.

He thrilled many fans, including this wee fangirl!

Also, BKth4E got an autograph from Bill! Her story is just wonderful!

Yesterday was really the best day in my life. I never thought that something could top cologne…but berlin did. We were there very early…and were standing in the first row right by the entrance….At 15.00 we had to pick up our tickets and they told us, that we will get a green ribbon and have to walk over the red carpet to get in . We were so nervous what to do, because we were afraid, that we couldn’t get into the cinema anymore, if we would wait for Bill to come…so we decided to go into the cinema…walked over the red carpet…side by side with all the celebrities it was really crazy…Then we sat down in the cinema….on the screen they showed bill’s arrival…and we were so sad…that we didn’t get an autograph…and we decided to leave the cinema again and went to the entrance…but the secus said, we are not allowed to stay here…i have seen at the begining, that there were some barriers in the entrance and i told my best friend…let’s go behind it…then we will get an autograph….Bill came nearer and nearer….my heart was beating like crazy….then he came in and first i thought…oh no…he will go downstairs…but then he came to us…and we got our autograph…we started to cry…he was so sweet….then we ran into the cinema….in our’s …it was cinema 8…all the celebrities and the press were sitting there…we had to sit down in the frist row…omg…to watch a movie in the first row is really bad…but who cares…and then she announced Bill and he came in, right on our side …there was a ” Fire-escape “and he stood right in front of us on a stage…he gave a short interview, the press made some pictures and then he gave us again autographs….then he walked to his place and sat down…some made a few pics and then the movie begun….it was so wonderful….he is so sweet…ein SCHATZii….

Dec 4 – JB Kerner Appearance

On December 4th, Tokio Hotel will appear on the JB Kerner Show “Jahresrückblick” (Year in Review). They will be performing World Behind My Wall. This shows airs in Germany. Here to keep us out of trouble till then is an interview from 2007.

Bill on Viva Friday ???

Bill Kaulitz will be might be? appearing on Viva Live in Germany, this Friday, November 20th! The promo says “Bill will talk with Collien about his job as voice for the movie Arthur and the Minimoys2, as well as chat about current gossip in the show business.”

Hottest place to be will be the updates in the fanclub forum! No idea what time, it is shown only in Germany, not in USA, cannot watch it online live either.

His name has been removed now, we do not know what is going on. Stay tuned!
