This and Dark Side of the Sun I could watch over and over and over and never get tired of it.
It must have been amazing for them to perform in the midst of so much energy and love.

Wow… What an amazing performance! To this day, I am still completely awed by how talented these guys are. Their live performances are mind-blowing, and this particular performance was epic in every sense of the word. I hope they will have another chance to play in front of 500,000 people someday. :)

My face just melted off and is now in a puddle on the floor. Every time I watch them, I am more and more convinced that they are some of the best musicians and performers of our time. America has nothing to compare with them.
And PS: I forget how enchanting Bill’s speaking voice is. I need to go watch Zimmer 483 – Live in Europe.

THERE IS SO MUCH RIGHT WITH THIS PERFORMANCE, I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. I’d heard about this before, but never actually SEEN it. Best Bastille Day present EVER.
Well, I guess I can lol at the song captions first.
Anyways.
1. The opening. The extended guitar + bass solo. The staggered instrument entrances. Tom’s crazy run. Georg’s calm stroll onto the stage. The DRUM ENTRANCE. So cool. And then Bill dashing on in his little red jacket. S:LDKFJA:LFKJA:LFJL:D YES.
2. IT’S NOT PLAYBACK. Because it drives me crazy when I watch a performance and I have to see all the people in the comments complaining about how it’s playback, and it always ruins it a little for me, but this. THIS. This is perfect.
3. It’s in GERMAN. It seems like their default is English now since the world is becoming more and more Anglicised, and I mean, I speak English, so the whole Anglicism applies to me too, but hearing Bill sing in German is so gorgeous. The language is beautiful.
4. Bill sang at every member individually. AND HE SKIPS ALL OVER THE STAGE. And turns his back on the crowd with that epic pose and funky dance like he KNOWS he’s one of the sexiest people on the planet at the beginning of Ich Brech Aus. (Even though I really try to refrain from making comments on their appearance as much as possible, I can’t help it.) And the little kicks he does, and the shoulder shakes and and and
5. Lots of really nice Gustav shots! :D I can see his really epic drumming for once! Actually, really good shots of all the members throughout, which can be rare.
6. Georg and Tom rocking out in each other’s faces. Epic hair-swinging all over the place.
7. Georg’s awesome bass. I mean, come on. It’s SO COOL.
8. French is spoken. This performance is in front of the flipping EIFFEL TOWER on BASTILLE DAY. Need more be said?
9. The complete wonder in Bill’s voice when he said, “Oh my god…” right before Monsoon as he looked out over the crowd. And then the absolute happiness in his speech afterwards. (And the totally adorable way he said “Durch den Monsun…” XD)You can tell that they’re all so grateful to be there and that they completely appreciate every second of it. Never have I felt that they deserved their amazing success more than that moment.
10. I generally dislike watching the same video more than once, especially when it’s something as long as this, but this is already the third time through and I am so not sick of it yet. :DDDDDD

i like the way tom prolonged the beginning the song, like he was remixing, like he was reving an engine, getting ready to hit 0 to 60 in two seconds flat on his auto bahn, he was really pullen and rippen on those key notes and chords, and stomping on that distortion pedal. gosh so many people…..

i like the way tom prolonged those beginning chords, like he was mixing or somthing , like a car reving up- ready to hit 0- 60 in two seconds. Tom was really bringing to life those key notes and chords, rippen on em, pullen on em, STOMPing on that distortion pedal. 500 billion people! wow!

(wtf) , Yes, and we also get the car metaphor allready…. i mean sorry if nobody rates your comments, its probably becuae their a bit incoherent and to put it nicely outlandish and or eccentric. look the easiest way to come across semi normal and have your comments somewhat rated is to say how sexy someone is, even though your last ten posts have been that same thing and its coming from an affected place instead of a spontaneous admiration. oh! and then end with a platitude and your sure to be ‘the talk of the town’. ps why did the goose cross the auto bahn..
