This is the song that made me fall in love with them…gosh, 6yrs ago now. I still love it, and them<3. I always love their songs in both English & German, but that Spanish translation- it's beautiful as well<3

You know, videos like this really make me mad at myself that I haven’t been sticking with my goal to learn German. I really want to learn German so that I can watch these videos and not be completely lost because they’re aren’t any subtitles… :(

omg! I love this song, on the forum I posted a Dutch version of this song. And this video clip! with some parts that Bill is looking straight at the camera I have the feeling he’s looking straight at me. It almost makes me cry.

I must say, I’m really happy to see this! It’s not only because they were so young and adorable and the sheer fact that I LOVE this video. It’s also because Rette Mich is a very important song to me. It’s one of the two songs that helped bring me to my undying love for Tokio Hotel. =D And that’s something I’m definitely grateful for.

ahh, Rette Mich. story of my life right now.
this was the very first song i had ever heard from them. i was at my mom’s house, (about two years ago next month) looking up songs for college auditions, and i ran across this one. i thought it was cool how they spelled Tokyo wrong (i didnt know German at the time) and i clicked on it. i saw Bill, and i thought he was a girl. (i will forever facepalm about this.) i remember thinking, “man, that’s a hot girl. i’d totally go lesbian for her. her voice is a bit deep but so is Toni Braxtion’s, you know?” gosh, was i stupid! i eventually settled on the fact that Bill was indeed a boy. and a very hot one at that :D
but what really got me was that their sound was nothing like i had ever heard before. they looked and sounded so different from every other rock band that i listened to or heard of, and it drew me in. i’ll never forget that feeling of seeing them for the first time.
i had forgotten about them in my confusion that is senior year of high school, but ran across them on October 6, 2009, on lala.com, which sent me an email about the albums released that day. i saw their name and clicked on the album. the first song i listened to was “Hey You”. and i’ve been in love ever since.
but dammit, this song speaks to me. it’s like Bill read my diary and wrote a song based on one of the entries. HOW DOES HE DO THAT?!?!!?!?!?

This is my absolute totally favorite video! *.* I always listen to it when i’m upset or feeling down or even just when i need to hear bill’s voice to cheer me up. This song is so amazing and this is also like my most favorite hair style of bill’s ^.^ I just love this so much :D

I just miss Bill’s old style and I know how everyone keeps goin oh its new and quit ragging on him but I’m not cause I miss the original Bill look that we can all relate to that wouldn’t cost us $300 dollars and I knoww he is a diva but back the he was your perfect boy next door and ever since they became really famous the whole I dont know famous life has sucked him in, and the guys… Sure Bill does look great now and I love his original ideas but they are very fancy and well yeah.

Rette Mich is one of my favorite videos from them…actually, it’s one of my favorite videos of all time. I think that a music video should tell the story of the song and Tokio Hotel really captured the emotion of this amazing song. I hate videos from most artists that are only the singer in nice clothes singing to the camera, with nothing in their eyes. I love how great an actor Bill is and how he looks so vulnerable. And the effects of them being suspended in the air and having no control; it’s such a symbol and I love it. I nearly cry whenever I watch it. It’s amazing.

I just want to say thank you for keeping this fansite interesting. It can’t always be easy to do that. Esspecially at times like now when the band isn’t releasing new singles or making appearances very often. Exactly. This is the best fanclub site I’ve ever seen – almost like official site. That’s why eventhough I’m Indonesian, I rarely go to TH Indonesia. They really like Adam Lambert there and I’ve seen more gossip than something we do need to know. I notice you guys are very careful about posting something here and I like it. this is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite TH songs, because it was THE VERY FIRST ONE i heard of them…i remember that day, back in 2007, when i was lying on my couch, and suddenly this video-clip started playing….:D and i had NEVER heard them before ;)
i remember i was stuck on my tv…and i was THRILLED with bill xD
i couldn’t take my eyes of him xD i’m a bit embarassed for that, but back then (and because it was my first TH song) i was wondering if the singer was a girl or a boy xD
i thought that either he was a GOERGOUS but weird boy or a SUPER ODD but beautiful girl xD
in the end, i was convinced that the singer was a girl xD
after that, i was listening to this song like a maniac, but in 2008 i had already forgotten them (yeah, I have no idea how i did that, either xD). I actually started looking for more TH songs in 2009 :D (when their humanoid album was released and they had arranged a performance here in greece)…
And i became a proud and dedicated ALIEN in 2010 :)
