Yesterday me and Tom were in the city… and we looked around, and let me tell you, Chicago is soooo nice. I really like it.

That part of the DVD was very intense and soooooooo inspirational. I was so glad to have seen it, and to know how much the boys care about their homeland and how much they care about people in general. It’s one of the many moments I am proud to be a Tokio Hotel fan. :) <3

The first time I ever heard World behind my wall, I thougt about the Berlin Wall. It was actually my first thougt.
“They’re telling me it’s beautiful.
I believe them, but will I ever know
the world behind my wall.
Oh, oh.
The sun will shine like never before.
One day I will be ready to go,
see the world behind my wall.” That part made me think about the fact that they lived on the east side, and that was the worse side. Most people on the east side dreamed about gettin over to the west side. And that also fits with this: “I’m ready to fall.
I’m ready to crawl on my kness to know it all.
I’m ready to heal.
I’m ready to feel.
Take me there!”
So the last thing I wanna say is; Freiheit 89!

Wondering if these were lyrics that were cut from World Behind My Wall or just something written in a journal that functioned as inspiration? Just simply beautiful.

this made me remember something o.o (yes my second comment)
Last year we had to do history projects in S.S, something in history that inspired us or something like that so, I chose to do the fall of Berlin Wall. I gathered up information including Nena’s song 99 Red Balloons. When I presented it to my teacher he passed me with flying colors but asked me how in the world did the wall inspire me, i told him plan and simple: “I listened to Tokio Hotel’s song World Behind My Wall, at first I thought nothing of it except for a way for them to express their feelings. But deep in the song, you can sense the pain the wall had brought many people in Berlin. Education was blocked out from some people and they could only imagine what the world behind that wall looked like and what it felt like to live there. The fall of the Berlin wall gave them freedom. And that’s kinda what Tokio Hotel is trying to let you know.” Thank you Tokio Hotel for raising my average by 3 points :) just enough to be on honor roll <3

At first I was like what? nuh-uh. But you inspired me to look up the berlin wall(: and now I see what your saying. But Im still a little confussed as to why the wall was put there in the first place. Berlin itself is one country. The wall was put there to block the east from the west. What made them wanna seperate them..from themselves.

I did my project in history on the Berlin Wall as well, but I used this song as my background on the slide show (he he shameless promotion <3)
and I got 100% which was rare in that class, so I'm happy too!
