1,568 to be exact. Tokio Hotel. Rette Mich was one of my “discovery” songs for them and as I watched this, I just sat there grinning like a silly. Bill is so cute and spazzy, Georg’s dramatic pose at the beginning. LOVE this band.
This was in Switzerland on the TV Show “Benissimo”, March 18, 2006. To newer fans, it is generally the rule that when bands perform on TV in Europe, they use playback, so … just so you know. It’s different there.
Bill has such a lanky walk… the twins had not even grown yet. Heehee

hey ok i dont no if its just me but Kristen Stewert’s haircut (the one that she had to get for the joan jett movie) looks alot like it did for Bill when he was younger……

buuut besides that I loved this video its a sort of a sad song even with all those “SIX to 18 year olds” screaming so loud that they can Kill the OLD Folk’s hearing if it aint dead already hahaha so many old POPs

Did anyone else say something like “Aww they are SOOO CUTE!!!”? I swear that’s all that was running thru my mind. Ok not all that was running thru my mind cause I wanted to pop each girl who wouldn’t listen to the song and kept screaming but i’m like that at concerts too. Scream during the entrance and exit of the band(s), when the band tells you to, during loud and/or fast songs and after songs but leave the slow songs alone and just sing along or listen.(But i’m bitchy so…)
They were amazing though…Bill does have that, i’m not sure what to do with my hands and my walking yet, and not that I don’t LOVE Bill’s style but it was a bit refreshing seeing him in plain ol blue denim jeans and kicks!(sneakers for those who don’t know weird slang lol.) I am always afraid i’m going to break my own flipping neck in 4-6 inch heels so seeing him run and tackle stairs and all that in heels makes me hold my breath half the time. One brave guy considering I know NO man, no matter who they are, what they do that will so that.(And I do know dragqueens and other men who do the brave task of wearing heels WILLINGLY! Lol.)

I miss the old Tokio Hotel i mean no matter what they are the same people just with different appearances i love Tokio Hotel no matter what but they have changed so much i mean like bill wears heels he is already so tall and with heels so much taller its a awesome look and he is who he is and i respect that but its just a whole major change with all of them just on appearance but no matter what they are Tokio Hotel and i will love them no matter what the music gets more amazingly awesome every time they make new songs they are still gorgeous and amazing talented people who i will love forever!!

I love the boys now, don’t get me wrong, but something inside me wishes that I was younger and lived in Germany at the time they broke out as a band…. The experiences their very first fans got to experience from the beginning up to now. I am so glad to be a fan of one of the greatest bands EVER….I love watching videos like this!! BILL IS SOOOOO CUTE!!! AND GORGEOUSLY TALL AND A AMAZING PERFORMER….but you guys already knew that LOL

I agree with you as well. With their slower songs like Rette Mich/Rescue Me, Geisterfahrer/Phantomrider, and Zoom/Zoom Into Me I feel totally and completely safe. I always get the feelin of safety with Bill’s voice, but especially on the slower songs.

<333 Love, love, LOVE this video. I usually stay away from television performances because like 12 said, playback (no matter what the circumstances) discredits them to me. They're such good live performers, but playback seems like cheating to me, no matter who does it. D:
But Bill's just so…quirky and cute here. <3 His spazzing was adorable. His arm had a mind of its own. xD I love how even back then, the fans would scream a few decibels higher whenever Tom spoke.

I really dislike the playback thing as well. It’s so…frustrating .. to me. I get that it’s a normal thing because I watch a lot of Euro television stuff, but I still don’t like it. It takes the joy out of the performance for some bands. Ah well, I still think this video is cute as hell!

Although I already knew it was customary for playback to be used, I still really REALLY dislike the fact that they use it, and not just Tokio Hotel. Just… every band, even ones I really REALLY dislike. It just, to me, discredits them a little bit in my mind. So… I stay away from videos like this, generally. But this one… is very awkward because it captures that time when Bill and Tom where awkward like. XD

OMG I never saw this before!! It’s so funny because they barely needed a bodyguard back then and the amount of fans outside is too funny because now it’s like 100 times the size!! The whole band did wonderful as usual!! And wow the twins seriously had like a major growth spurt or something…It’s so weird seeing seeing them “short” back then. Wow I love how the dude interviewed them all equally!! They all seem a bit shy or something!! Ahh love this thank you!
