i still wish it had been a “real” video.
i mean, i’m a big fan, but being a fan doesn’t mean i have to automatically like everything TH does, and frankly, this video didn’t do it for me. hate if you want, but i think there’s more to liking a group than blindly believing everything they do is pure gold. i’m critical because i think they can do better.
Why do people who do not like this video accuse people who DO like it of things like “blindly believing everything they do is pure gold”? Can’t you accept that some of us just LIKE it?

Honestly, it wasn’t what I expected but now that I read all your comments I’ve opened my eyes. It really shows the essence of the band. Couldn’t agree more with darkndevilish… Although I do appreciate artistic music videos (Talk about Lady Gaga), I think it’s very interesting to portray the story behind a song on the video.
But you’re right, the video shows the power and magnetism of a concert. Nothing like concerts….

Agreed! I love How TH made the video theirs and it is so cool that they had it like this. I don’t care weather its a so called “real” video or not I love it so much and its them! They gave it their all and I looove it I couln’t ever get tired of saying it! It’s amazing that with all the crap that they guys go thrrough dayly they can come out and make something so very awesome for everyone of us! TH fur immer und immer <3

I’m so happy that they are getting such good feedback from the video! In my personal opinion, I loved it to death! I always love the live and scripted. well cos i have like never been to one of there concerrt i thinks its good i still got the buzz of wotching it like its TOKIO HOTLE and every one on this website well hopefully is in love with them bt yer bands can get it wrong sometimes bt i jst tought they could have done a little better but ova all i liked it!!! =)

I have to admit, i was one of those whiny ones…I really wanted a music video. I like it when there’s a story in a music video, special effects, fashion, art, and a vision in music videos, rather than just clips of a band rehearsing, or at a concert, because i usually *personally* find that sort of music video very uncreative and lazy.
However, after watching a few more times, i really did fall in love with it, because i realised it actually had everything. I just had too much of a bias at first to realise.
It had a story, the special effects, the fashion. And of course, it had the music, and the incredible energy. And the set was very creative and artistic. And those snippets of moments of…REAl life. you all know what i mean…
I think this vid will show all the non-fans that TH isn’t a bunch of posers, or whatever preconception they’ve held about them.
And…someone i can’t remember where said that they didn’t like the vid in B+W. but i reckon B+W is SO TH. Most of their music videos have always been partially in B+W, or at least a dark colour. I love that quality about it.

I think I was bittersweet about the video… but idk why. It’s just me. so don’t take it as if I hated the video cuz I didn’t it just fels weird for me… and idk why. :-/ maybe because there’s a lot of things happening ryt now. :(

i loved so many things of the video.
:05-them doing the hand thing at the beginning. so cute:)
:17-when georg has his hand to his ear and is like, “are you ready?”
1:08-1:10–bills cute dance moves(the kick lol). love how he’s all into it.
1:16- bill’s pose.
1:23-the basicly only eyeliner dude in the crowd that got a close up, totally love him lol.
1:36-gustav and his crazzai stare at the camera lol.
2:01- tom’s kick when playing the guitar.
2:38- tom, bill, and georg at the front of the stage together:)
2:53-georg getting into it big time:)
3:04-3:05–bill’s poses as if he’s saying with his body, “thats right!! screamm!”
3:08-haha tom’s face had the look that he just “O”ed.
3:10-tom’s lil guitar move:)
3:27- ton’s “hell yea” pose.
3:38- bill’s kiss to the crowd.
3:50- the explosion.
THE CROWD WAS AWESOME!! TRUE FANS THAT KNOW HOW TO ROCK OUT:)

What’s up with all the dislikes? People are just stating their opinion… they’re just saying “I loved it” how can you not like a fellow fan’s opinion? I personally love opinionated people.. as long as they don’t act like they’re two years old and actually give a legit response, it’s fine. I actually believe all of us fans should stick together. I never even dreameeeeed of being rude or hurtful to another fan.. actually I don’t do that to anyone. Most of the time, I shake it off and come up with a neutral response. Instead of disliking someone’s thing, discuss your LEGITIMATE reason for not liking the video! (Ha look at me, I sound like I take dislikes so seriously XD) But really, that’s what i would do.

The video, even though it was filmed in Milan brought back some awesome memories of seeing them in Oberhausen.
There were so many little great details in the video: the fan waving a Georg heart and George smiling; Tom ripping on his guitar and holding it up like an Olympic torch was gold; Gustav’s drum slam at the very end with the flames; Bill’s running makeup, the B&W shadowed profile and his kiss to the audience. And of course the crowd’s passion.
Every time I see something different, maybe something new. Just like how the band are evolving.

I dont think there was a better way for TH to show us fans how much we are appreciated than to have the fans featured in the video. How often do we see videos of live performances anymore? The true test to a great artist is to see them live! After seing TH live 3 times, this video just makes me more anxious to see them when the come to the US.

You know, I’m really starting to appreciate this music video more and more. It does an excellent job of displaying their talent and sincerity in what they do, and that’s one of the main reasons why I fell in love with them in the first place. I believe Bill means every lyric he sings and Tom really feels every strum of his guitar. That’s what music is all about.

I loved the music video, it only shows you what you can experience when you go see Tokio Hotel live, which just makes it even more exciting to want to go and watch them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether they liked it or not, but if you didn’t like the music video which shows them kicking butt live, then how are you going to like them live or anything?

i think darkside of the sun did exactly what they wanted. get us pumped for the live DVD. And get us to want to see them live! ( not that we weren’t already pumped and wanting them back in America) but for the new fans :) !! I loved it <3

O.K. I think that this Video was extremely amazing, exciting, it categorizes Tokio Hotel with the best of the best. Tokio Hotel is one of the latest artists who can be compared with Def Leppard, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, Steffenwolf, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, and other extraordinary multi talents of existence.
Bill is an extraordinary talented artist, he has style, he has grace, he has a performing gene, he is a multi talented artist. Tokio Hotel as I can predict will be around for a very long time, they will be heard and remembered for generations to come. Tokio Hotel has an great ingenuity in them, their style of music, their style of performance, their style of videos, they totally ROCK BABY ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

this video was amazing, it showed off Tokio Hotel at what they do best, performing live. They always put on a great show. i personally loved the video, but everybody has their own opinion on this video.

There’s a time and place for slick videos. This wasn’t it. The purpose of this video IMO was to translate the hyper energy at their concert. Look at the raw emotions on the faces of the fans. The gritty video with snapshots of the entire concert is the real teaser to get your a$$es to a live concert.
