Summer’s Story
I discovered Tokio Hotel about a year and a half ago. This was a very dark time in my life, I did a lot of things tat today i regret, like cutting, smoking, drinking, and a lot of other bad things. I first heard Monsoon, and i liked the song, style and just everything right away. But at the time I only listened to Monsoon, the song spoke to me like no other, and that may have been because i was heartbroken or depressed. but after about a week i wanted to hear more so I looked into them, i heard Scream, and fell in love.
Soon after that someone very close to me committed suicide. This to no surprise put me in a deep depression. I wanted to just die too, i felt alone, scared and even betrayed at the fact that this person would leave me. I was suicidal, and was cutting deeper, and closer to the veins with each time. after a couple weeks of this, i was on the computer and i saw that my you tube channel had made one of that recommendations for “don’s jump” i saw the name Tokio Hotel and clicked, when the song and verses started to play i was brought to tears. I was able to just cry after all that time. The song literally made me not kill myself that night. I listened to all of there songs after that, “love is dead” “break away” “forgotten children” “1000 Oceans” every single one of them made me just feel better. after that night i decided to get help, i went to my counselor and talked it out, but everyday i would go home and listen to Tokio Hotel. I watched interviews and there T.V. and i did something that i hadn’t don’t in what seemed like forever … Laughed.
So now it is a year and a half later. And I am proud to say that i haven’t cut myself in that long. In my mind because of Tokio Hotel’s music, Bill Lyrics and Tom’s happiness i am alive today. I have never been happier, I wear to Tokio Hotel band ALL THE TIME as a reminder to that they did for me even if it wasn’t in person. Now i own there Humanoid CD, Two T-Shirts and plan to see them one day, i am even taking German class so i can talk to them one day =] I also visit the Fan site Everyday. and also comment everyday. Tokio Hotel is the closest band to my heart because they saved my life, and helped make who I am today.
I can honestly say that Tokio Hotel is my FAVORITE BAND EVER!!!! for every reason

i’ve been through something the same right now im in a really bad mood but just seein and listening to tokio hotel’s music helps me everyday ur story made me cry just to know that im not the only one and that these boys can do so much for us I LUV U SUMMER=)these boys know how to put a smile on our faces

And yes, the boys really do know how to make anyone smile. just remember that there i always light in any storm, that’s what i had to remember. And Tokio Hotel helped me see that. EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY!! I LOVES YOU *HUGS*

I am still in the midst of getting out of my depression but listening to their lyrics can help me to remember Im not alone in the world and that there are people out there who understand my pain. Not only have their music saved me from possibly killing myself, but you fans aswell, I have issues with the people where I live, and they with me. Talking to everyone makes me realize Im not as alone, and I can talk to you guys and you will listen to what I have to say, even if all I do is complain you understand and are there for me. I will never get to meet all TH’s wonderful fans that have helped me, but I love you all as a family. You dont judge me. And I thank you for that. :hugz:

Summer we are one big happy family. i’ve never met another tokio hotel fan that i didnt love and get along with. we truly are a family!!! im glad they helped you like that!! im glad your alive!! they are life saving lyrics, they realy r. im glad you could share something like that with us =]. if you dont meet them you gada let us know, you absolutly have to!!! your story iz touching =] rock on =D!!!

Thanks for sharing your touching story Summer! *hugs* I’m glad that you are better now and I’m so glad that the boys were able to help you through such a dark time. I know they’ve meant a lot to me since I first heard them when I was 16. I’m soon to be 21 in July and I know that they still help me through the day.

My story was similar as well.
It’s so hard to describe how amazing this band is and how much they mean to all of us. I hope they know how much they we love them. I’m sure they do, they’re the sweetest boys in the world! I can tell how much they love us by the look in Bill’s face when he sings on stage.

I’m so glad you found Tokio Hotel Summer! My daughter also found TH in her dark time 2 years ago. She was depressed and in a dark place, then TH came in her life and makes her feel better. I was in the dark about her depression until she started listening to TH and I saw a change in her for the better. So I started listening to them to see what all the fuss was about and I also felt better about things, so now we both are big fans of TH and share them together, and they make us laugh. Their lyrics are amazing, it has been a long time since music has moved me the way TH’s music does. There is no other band out there like Tokio Hotel that can change lives for the young or old!Thank You Tokio Hotel for being there for my daughter! Thanks Summer for sharing your story!

That was a really touching story, and I’m so glad too hear that you are better. That shows how much influene the boys have on us. Every song lyric Bill sings,every note Georg,Tom and Gustav play just makes you wanna either cry of joy or sadness.that’s the great thing about Tokio Hotel.countries around the world come together and share new things with each other and we help get past those rough times.and I’m so damn glad we are all on big happy TH family even is some of us do live half way around the world.

I’m just speechless (in a good way) I’m so glad this person was able to keep on living and its amazing that Tokio Hotel is the cause of that complete U-turn. This story literally brought tears to my eyes. I’m glad I was lucky enough to have it shared with me because it really goes to show how music can influence a person in good ways (music in general not just TH’s music).

this is why Tokio Hotel are a really special band..it’s so magic…their music and lyrics can speak to our hearts..no other band can do this..My life has also changed since 2007 that I found them out…and I admit that the day I first heard Monsoon changed my whole life!Tokio Hotel’s music can always support me and go together with my feelings..hapiness..sadness..pain..everything..for me they are like more than oxygen..I can’t imagine my life without them..I m so thankful..I wish i had the chance one day to thank them that they exist..<3

i had a very simmilar story with yours… when i changed school the kids didn’t like me at all and they were bullying me and i had no friends… and then i was cutting and crying every night because i felt lost and i relly wanted to die( i have the scar of one deep cut on my hand which is 2 cm away from my vain)… and then my neighboor told me to come with her to a th concert and so i loved th and now with their music i don’t feel so alone and i have to say that i am much happier than before…thanks a lot to th!!BEST BAND EVER!(saved me and sio many other fans:])

I am sure that your story, Summer, and many other similar ones, are one of the reason why boys are keep doing what they are doing. Why they just keep going even after all ridicule that media are making them go through in their entire 5 year career. Because they know their music helps!

You are so amazing ! Going through all of that I am sure is not easy :) tokio hotel has made me better myself too and isn’t that amazing?! The power of music is like no other! The fact these four boys can touch our hearts without even knowing us is truly a gift! We might meet them someday we might not but we are all connected to them and each other
