From Tokio Hotel’s Official Site: St. Petersburg Show – Due to a very material contractual breach and violation by the local promoter, it is not justifiable to perform the St. Petersburg show today. The band has tried everything to make the show happen, but with no luck! We feel terribly sorry for the fans, but the situation left us no other option.
More as soon as we know anything else.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE RUMORS THAT BILL IS SICK. Tokio Hotel would not post that there was a contract breach if one of the members was sick, because they could get sued. Please stay calm.

I think people is blowing everything out of proportion. It’s Bill’s life. Just don’t start random rumors unless you can back it up. I just want the best for Bill and the other members of Tokio Hotel. But in some part in their life they probably do feel sick…as in being “Tokio Hotel” There should be a part in their life time where they could just be Bill Tom Georg and Gustav. Like they need there freakin private life back. With no fans no cameras nothing at all. SO TOKIO HOTEL COULD BE SICK OF THE FABULOUS LIFE SOMETIMES. But not making their fans happy.

It’s so sad. I feel for the fans in Russia, I know how much they wanted to see TH. But I’m devastated for the boys. To have to make a decision like that, be forced to. It’s so unfair to them. And then catching up and reading all that’s been said today, *shakes head.* I hate rumors and speculation and agendas.
I just hope in a few days’ time, when Moscow arrives, anything like that will quashed – completely. I just can’t imagine how hard today was for TH. :(

out of concern for bill, now that you guys mention all this crud.
i heard from like… three people so far.
apparently bill kaulitz is schizophrenic or something?
and the new album has a lot to do with it?
i didn’t think it was anything to fregg out about, but think about it.

i mean, shit… it sort of all comes together.
that and at the EMAs. they were asked what the album was about, and bill just stuttered and froze like “Uuuuuhhhm…. life…?” and when Joss Stone insisted on what he meant by that, he got nervous. and tom obviously saved the day with his dick talking for him by going “dirty things!”
all these rumors are like… super-shit with a cape, but the schizophrenia one actually HAS its background to it.
I am going to let this comment go through, but fully expect to see it thumbs downed into oblivion by people who actually understand mental illness and would not make such a statement.

My son is schizophrenic. I don’t believe for one second that Bill has it. I don’t know where you get your information from. The album to me is not an album that was written because of mental illness. So you need to get your facts together and you need to be able to prove that what you are writing is true.

I’m a very new fan (about 2 months) but have been so impressed, touched, you name it – by this fantastic group that is Tokio Hotel that I went from the UK to see them in Oberhausen.
Sorry if this is a funny way of introducing myself here because I haven’t read the 70+ thumbs down comment, yet…but already couldn’t believe the schizophrenic comment. I have a feeling I’ll hate what was written so I thought to comment now…
A few years back I had to talk down someone who went off his meds. He broke nearly every piece of glass in his suite and was waving a sharp piece of glass thinking people were out to get him. Does this sound even remotely like Bill? No, I don’t think so either. To throw a word like schizoprhenia around is insulting to people who suffer from this illness. I hope it all works out. I have a dear friend in Russia who has been a fan for many years. This will be her first time to see TH in Moscow. If it is canceled she will be devastated as I’m sure the fans from St Petersburg were. I think the fans know that TH would never do anything to disappoint them so there has to be a good explanation.

As unfortunate and frustrating as this whole situtation is, there is nothing any of us can do about it, so there isn’t really any point in fussing about it. Whether it is indeed because of a legal matter, or [rumored to be] due to the health of one of the band members, I’m sure they the guys won’t just leave the everyone hanging. They always find a way to make it up to the fans. And, even if they don’t, the mere appreciation that that the guys tried everything in their power to make the show happen should calm your nerves at the least. Don’t sweat it guys.

All I saw was that the concert was canceled, and people were spreading rumors, so I had to investigate a little more x3 Glad to know that the boys are healthy, but I’m very sad for the Russian fans :( I’m sure that the boys will make it up to them somehow.

I’m all confused now. =S I read somewhere that the organizers/promoters (something like that) of the event came out on stage and said that one of the band members is sick. But then, they’d announce that right?
And, apparently they arrived at the venue prepared to play, and THEN left. Some of the fans said they SAW Gustav so ..
I guess they’ll explain it all asap.
I feel TERRIBLE for the fans. They were waiting inside watching the instruments be loaded onto stage and everything. That’s horrible. =(

according to all the OFFICIAL sources. the concert was cancelled because the promoters breached the contract.
1. bill is not sick.
2. tom is not on crutches.
3. it was not cancelled because the concert did not sell well.
4. any other rumor is untrue.
be calm. support the band and the russian fans who missed out on what should have been a great concert. don’t spread rumors.

I heard that the promoters said a band member was ill to prevent mass hysteria at the venue. I think they thought it would be safer for fans to hear that, and leave more peacefully? Maybe? I am not sure. That is just what I heard.

That is not true. Well, I do not know how many tickets were sold, but it was NOT canceled because of ticket sales.

i don’t think any of them are seriously ill. bill’s voice has sounded a little off lately, its only fair he gets checked to make sure nothing is wrong. i do think their management should have let them come on stage and explain. and that blue tape is used for arthritis and he plays a lot so i can see why tom would have arthritis. sad for fans, but its better than bill singing and then if he has another cyst it would make it worse.
but again it isn’t the guy’s fault, just hopefully fans can be understanding and something official gets released soon since their management keeps changing the story every five minutes. i think they got Croatia mixed up with tonight lol cuz they mentioned two different reasons for the show being canceled. if you think about it though, 11 concerts in just 15 days is probably bad for the band all together, maybe two concerts being canceled is what they need. hopefully fans can understand =] hope they guys are back on stage soon and nothing serious is wrong.

Anyway I guess both promo agency and TH will try to hide the truth, because it would probably impact the guys’ image of being so cute and nice and careful about their fans. I say it as a person who had spent 5 worst hours waiting for the concert outside in a terribly cold wind and then inside in a fan-zone, almost loosing my breath.I won’t ever forgive it or forget.
Because I believe the band. Their other concerts were not canceled and they were not sold out, why would they do this in Russia? Answer? They wouldn’t.
I am so so so so sorry that your concert was canceled, I really am. And so many fans are sending love to the Russian fans.
But lots of us also believe the band.
