Me? I would be so grateful to be there and see a live concert, I do not care WHAT any of them wear. Although I do like to see a nice Gustav tattooed calf peeking out from his shorts. Hey, what can I say. I LOVE his “Hurt” tattoo.

i have read all the previously posted comments, and some of them are very well thought out, and some that were disliked to the point of being hidden, were among these. i´m not saying i agree, but i want to award props for people actually thinking before they post something.
Point number one: The Music. Obviously the musik is what should be the most important thing about a band. i´m not one of those people who´s going to hate on someone and say they aren´t a real fan because they don´t like Humanoid. To be a fan, means you like something. You can be a fan of Scream and not of Humanoid and still call yourself a fan. Of the OLD TH. they are esentially TWO bands. i happen to like both bands, but some people don´t. i don´t see this as a problem. and actually, it´s more like three bands since of course his voice was totally different in Schrei. If i had to choose an album that i found to be the most meaningful to me personally, i´d say Scream, sure, but Humanoid is fine, and there honestly isn´t a single song that i don´t like, and i really love Hey You (the english version mind, i find the German lyrics irrelivent to life in general). The point of this point, is to say that at the end of the day, every song stands by itself and a person either likes it or they don´t. End of Story.
Point two: The style. Am i gonna lie and say i loved the tour costumes, no, i didn´t, not most of them, am i going to complain about it, no. Most artists use stage costumes, and i think that since he JUST did that fashion show in Milan he was feeling flamboyant and obviously he liked how it looked or he wouldn´t have worn it. And since his fashion statement has always been to wear what he likes regardless of how it is taken, he hasn´t changed at all. And his hair. i´m not a huge fan of how he has it at the moment, but it´s how he has it AT THE MOMENT. The man changes his hair every other month, this too shall pass.
Point Three: their attitudes. i noticed that some people think they´ve lost their playfulness in interviews. Let´s pause right there. A lot of the interviews have centered around a performance of theirs, past or pending. Hów many jokes can you crack about that? Very few. But i felt like they were able to find a way in most cases. In the interviews that the questions weren´t about that i found them to be the same as i ever found them to be. If they ARE a little less boyishly playful than usual i´d blame it on the fact that they´re working on a virtually empty tank. They haven´t had a break since Humanoid came out. if i were here there and everywhere for a year i´d probably be a little less chipper than usual too. Thank you.

I love a lot of their new music but I miss the old sound. I loved it when they kept everything simple. Four guys on stage. Sure I miss pretty Bill but really Bill would be hot covered in mud too. I think ppl seem to forget there are three other band members also not just Bill. I think the ppl promoting them now and designing for them now did not take into consideration {The Band} the whole world fell in love with to begin with. Change is good a little at a time but I feel like the long time fans are being left behind.

I hope at some point Tokio Hotel will come to Seattle. I’ve been a fan since 2006 and never expected them to come to the US because none of their songs were in English and that is the dominant language here. When Scream came out however, I was SO excited because it was in English and they would come here, I checked the tour dates and locations for the US tour, but there was no Seattle, WA on the list. I was sooo sad! But now that they’ve got a new album, I’m hoping that they will come this way in the near future :)

I love Tokio Hotel. I love their music and everything about them. I think that all of them, specially Bill, could wear whatever they like and still look fabulous. I love that their style is everchanging and they dont just stay stuck on the same things always. Tokio Hotel Rocks!!!! Love you guys!!! Come to the US soon!!!

Fans are coming and going, it always will be like that. I hope that more mature and more accepting fans with open minds will join TH fandom and it will all be good!

I am not into over the top theatrical outfits. But I hope SO MUCH that old fans will see that crazy outfit or no crazy outfits, synthesizers or not, that it is still OUR beloved Tokio Hotel. Their music and live performances are still sincere and genuine, heartfelt and emotional. That Bill is still gives his whole on stage and his voice is still enchanting.
And Bill can wear space suit at the concerts as far as I am concern if it will make him look so happy as on those pics from Bild…

Wow, some people are mean and harsh.
It’s like a person can never accept another person’s comment. Tokio Hotel PERSONALITY has not change, but their MUSIC and their STYLE has change. But I don’t know if the really change for personal reason or they change for the new album at that time. Because I don’t know who the really are. I really don’t care if they change their personality or style because I don’t live their fabulous life. The only thing I care about is their music and as long as Tokio Hotel is doing music then I am fine with whatever. Ok, yea some fan’s eye they feels like Tokio Hotel has change. But respect them and don’t put them down in anyway or tell them to STFU. And some fans feel like Tokio Hotel has not change but only their image.
You fans including me just have to accept Tokio Hotel for who they are and not argue. You do NOT know Tokio Hotel so the fans could just shut their mouth saying “They did not change..” And the fans that are saying “Tokio Hotel did change..” Cause we don’t know Tokio Hotel and we don’t live their life. I think TH rock! And even though im well like 7,5 years their senior….(do the math) I think Tom is the hottest thing out there. I love his ,,thug” appeal. I wouldnt mind being a cougar if I was dating him. And to all the haters….I do believe they are the ones making all the money, they are grown men now…no longer boys. UHM… I KNOW THAT PEOPLE HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY THIS BUT I AM JUST SAYING MY OPINON SO DON’T LIKE, HATE ME I GUESS LOL…
I miss the old TH… the TH that everyone fell in love with… the Bill that was so sweet and that had his own style… the Tom that had the AMAZING dredlocks… the Georg that was single… the gustav with curly, natural hair that didn’t change color every week. I miss the old music that was VERY meaningful to me and discribed my life… it let me know that I wasn’t alone… that I wasn’t the only one in the world feeling bad and left out… it was powerful and meaningful and I really do miss that… the sweet, smoking hott, unique, HOTT AGAIN, amazing, Tokio Hotel… I really do.
BUT: They all have grown up. Bill has found another style that in my opinion isn’t his own… his “new style” is a cross between adam lambert and david bowie… and I feel that its just not… him… I think that its A LITTLE over the top to be compleatly honest… please don’t hate me :S… they are still SMOKIN’ HOTT and amazing but they arn’t the Tokio Hotel I fell in love with when I first heard “Monsoon.” I mean, there are good things about the new look and bad things… one good thing is that they have grown up… actually… thats good and bad… hmmmm… well, one good thing is that they seem happy with themselves… and confident… which is very important… they were a lot more “free” when they were teens though… they seemed less forsed. I’m not saying that I ABSOLUTELY HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM because I REALLY DON’T. I love most of the songs on there new album… phantomrider, zoom into me… but honestly, some of the songs on the new album like uhmmm… love and death… its good lyrics but they repete themselves too much… Bill’s like, “with my HEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT” the way he says “heart” he sounds like he’s screaming! he sounds… (again please don’t hate me, I absolutley love TH, this is just my opinion!) … like… a girl… I’m sorry but I just don’t like it… this new album is SO serious… there is no song thats upbeat… if they feel THAT sad and serious then they should just… I don’t know what they should do… get help??? I mean… its true… like all of there songs reflect on my life too but I don’t want to be even MORE depressed then I already am… “by your side” I LOVE THAT SONG SOOOOOO MUCH! and “Love is dead” AMAZING and “monsoon” … BEYOND WORDS!!!!!!! … those songs are serious but they also have some upbeat songs like… well… “monsoon” I guess and “reden” and stuff so… ya… I really like/miss the old TH and the new one is… to say the least… a BIG change… but the new one I will have to get used too and I will NEVER NOT IN A MILLION YEARS NEVER not like tokio hotel EVER and they will probably ALWAYS be my FAVORITE BAND EVER! but I just wanted to say what I thought and I’m not saying that I hate the new look but It will just take some getting used too…

I understand everything you’re saying. I disagree with what you’re saying, but I’m not going to hate you for it. Tokio Hotel fans are too mature to hate other fans. :)
But I get it. Yes, they have grown up a lot recently. But that’s just a part of life. They have to change, otherwise they wouldn’t be human {or humanoid ;)}. Change is ok, and in my personal opinion, the changes haven’t changed who they really are. They are Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing, and Gustav Schafer. And we love them. And they love us. And they will always make music. And that’s all that really matters. :)

I think you’ve mistaken Bill’s stage costumes for Humanoid tour and Bill’s casual everyday style, because no way in world his casual style is mix of David Bowie and Adam Lambert. Bill casual everyday style is elegant, chic and rock and roll at the same time. I think you let the Milan outfit and Bill’s crazy :) costumes for the tour blind you. Have you even had a look at SanRemo pictures??? From photo call and the show itself??? Bill look phenomenal!!! Nothing even remontly close to over the top Adam and David Bowie (like them both, btw). Or Bill in the pics from Optimus show! Leather jacket, t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers… Here is your 2007 Bill!!! But I am sure you will find something wrong with it too, sadly! Just take it settle in you. You will get used to new/old TH. Of course, if you are truly a fan.:)
And btw, I am totaly with you on “Love and Death”. Can not stand that song eather. But the rest of the album is genius…

Do NOT put a bunch of thumbs down on my comment or Carmen’s like you do all the others. While you’re off in Fairytale Land loving and obsessing over the newly discovered Tokio Hotel, older fans are grieving for the Tokio Hotel we just lost. You have to respect the fact that we love two different bands and you hating every comment we put about missing them seriously irks the nerves. We have just as much right to voice our opinion as you–just because you don’t like the fact that we look at rumors, new interviews and new projects with skeptical minds doesn’t mean you have to ‘defend’ the band. Trust me, we know what you think you’re defending just as well as you do.
As for you, Carmen, you’re not alone. I feel the same way. Although I still like their music, I miss the rock. As for their style, Bill’s too over the top. It’s distracting. Their attitude is so: “I’m too grown and cool for all this. Let’s get the interview done quickly so I can be done with this crap.” I miss the cute interviews that I could watch to put a smile on my face when I was sad.
And I know that what I’m about to say is going to get A LOT of hate, but I’m not banking on Tokio Hotel being a solid band for more than five years. They’re growing up and separating in what they want. As sad as it makes me, I am preparing myself to stop depending so much on them.

Ok. there are a lot of people that feels like tokio hotel has change dramatically. and i am one of them, but accepted the tokio hotel. It is Tokio Hotel decision to change and respect that. And as for the fans let them post their opinion. But be respectful put yourself in their shoes and see how it feel. Just because a fan post a comment saying that they miss the old Tokio Hotel does not mean they hate the new one.
What they change the most was their music and sound. Yea they Humanoid album is great but for me I still love the album Scream. But hey that it just my opinion. It goes for they dress too. Everyone change and moves on. And if a person cannot accept that change then that is no ones fault but their own.
No one here is to speak for Tokio Hotel. They are one group and we do not know Tokio Hotel. Like I said before, everyone has their opinion and we should be respectful and not put them down.

i keep seeing more “wah wah i want old TH back” comments and i apologize for seeming rude, but i had to scoff at some of them. people change, everything changes. we can’t expect to have the same TH for years and years. all kinds of bands have gone through a musical change through the years and it’s inevitable.
my opinion, i pride tokio hotel for their evolution into making music that they love and ultimately that their fans are coming to love and for just having a good time. they’re becoming respected musicians and are dropping the “teeny band” label, which i’m sure is a goal of theirs, seeing that they are all grown men now.
as far as dressing goes, personal style doesn’t have anything to do with a band. it just doesn’t. bill can dress however the hell he wants to, it still doesn’t change the fact that he is a part of tokio hotel.
personally, i like to compare this change tokio hotel’s music to one of my most favorite bands radiohead’s change in music. for years radiohead composed music that was often referred to as rock. guitar, bass, drums, vocals. then, later on, in their release of an internationally renown album called kid a, everything was changed to synths and electronic music. and it was fantastic, everyone stood behind them despite the dramatic change in their music, because of course, they’re still radiohead. it just goes to that bands change, their taste changes. those who are loyal to tokio hotel have to remember: they’re not any different. they’re still the same people.
come on, guys! stop looking back and start looking forward. tokio hotel will be making music for years and years to come, our duty as fans is to stay loyal and keep following, no matter how “different” they become, they’re still the boys we fell in love with in the first place. <3

Well, I used to be a hee-uge fan. I don’t mean to be rude or “hating” or anything, just felt the need to comment.
I recognize that bands change and everything, but this was too much for me. I’m not up to sci-fi or ever have been. I do like some parts of their music; I just wish the translations were better and…I don’t know. They didn’t try so hard to stand out when they were already before (except it was in a good way; not a Adam Lambert freaky).

I see what you are saying… I think that Bill has always had a thing for fashion but never really showed it before but now that he got older he started paying more attention to it… it is a huge change from before but who knows maybe the next album will be called zoo animals and Bill will dress like a giraffe :D
I have to admit that I dislike couple songs from the album but I disliked couple songs from their previous albums too
you just have to go through the changes with the band
if you really dont like it then take a break from them
try their next album

I actually really like them! I really like how they go with the theme and how it’s different then what Bill usually wears on stage. I imagined it being heavy, so I hope it won’t be because that would be really hard for him having to carry the weight while he’s moving around. But I think he mentioned that he’ll be working out a little. ??? And of course, dancing! XD Which makes me wonder if it would be stiff? BUT, otherwise, it’s AWESOME.
