Tokio Hotel in Zona Joven – Peru

Automatic, systematic, traumatic can be a typical romance of our days, at least that seems to happen often to Tokio Hotel, who in their recent album “Humanoid” they sing to the love of this times from a distinct vision to which they had when they were just infants who made music under the name of “Devilish”

The guys have grown and have change their appearance (yes, again), but this transformation is more than superficial and they show us this with their new album, which we will discuss in this note.

Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer wanted to play a little bit with science fiction in this album, inspired by futurist ideas for their songs and using electronic sounds. All this aesthetic can be seen easily on the cover, the look and all promotional material that accompanies the album; like in the promotional video (‘Automatic’), where two giant robots seem to feel in all of their circuits “the pain of love”

Their public believes that the band has taken a step forward in their career. Developing their way of doing music and even performing on stage. ‘Humanoid’ comes in two versions: German and English; is the third studio album in German and the second in English. Both editions were released simultaneously to produce a large-scale impact on their fans in Europe and America.

Tokio Hotel worked with different producers to give birth to this new “child” among them was The Matrix, Guy Chambers, and Desmond Child. 25 songs were recorded to have enough material to choose from. Finally 12 songs were left on the set list, but there is also the deluxe edition, which comes with four or more bonus tracks.

ALMOST HUMAN
The album title refers to a being “similar to humans” and in the end they chose the word “humanoid” because it is written exactly the same in German and English. So great was the expectations surrounding the release that some songs as “Dark side of the sun ‘,’ Pain of love ‘, Human connect to human’ were leaked on the Internet days before its official release.

Representatives of the group quickly mobilized to block multimedia sites that were distributing the songs, but as you can imagine, thousands of fans had kept the versions on their hard drives.

The expectation of “Humanoid” continued to increase through the official release of the single “Automatic” and its respective video, very consistent with the theme that the band covered in the song. The music video was directed by Craig Wessels of Wicked Pixels, the most awarded animation studio in South Africa, and was recorded during three days in the Kalahari Desert (South Africa).

After The release of “Humanoid” the quartet is involved in a huge concert tour around the world to promote their material, and even that sounds like utopia to some Peruvian fans, there is big chance for them to come to our country in the midst of the Latin American tour that would be carried out next year.

Although not all dates are scheduled , it has emerged that countries like Colombia, Peru and Mexico would be almost be definitely destinations for Tokio Hotel in 2010, since those are the places with the most amount of fans and where the album “Humanoid” premiered directly in the first place of sales.
