Omg I miss them so much from when they were this way! I mean don’t get me wrong I love the boys the way they are now and I will love and stick by them no matter how they change, but I honestly have to admit that their is a small part of me that likes the way they used to look more. I don’t know why I think that it’s most likely because that was the way they looked the first time I saw them and instently fell in love, and I’ll always remember them forever that way. Or it could be that I’m a teen and at the ages of sixteen and seventeen maybe I’m just somehow naturally more attracted to their image when they were that same age too. Well whatever it is I love seeing old school TH videos! It’s so wonderfull to see Bill’s beautiful youthful bright smile, his sagging around his hips jeans, his cool t-shirts, ahhh he was just so wonderfully simple. And omg check out Gustav’s hot bod he was and is incredible! And Georg and Tom, wow, just as big of hunks as remembered, and that hasn’t changed a bit!

ahh!!!!!!! i love unendlichkeit! its one of my fave songs on Schrei. and the solos totally rocked, especially gustii! he was amazing. and he never gets enough attention. and when bill held that note at the end? omg i just wanted to faint! he looks so good in this. they all do. i miss gustav’s shirtless days :( but oh well. what we have now is fine too. and georg’s hair is so…short.

After I found this video on youtube, I showed everyone I could! Amazing, and Gustav’s drum solo at the end rocked so hard. Even my brother-in-law, who only listens to Slipknot and Five Finger Deathpunch and Metallica and stuff like that, had to admit that Gustav showcased some serious skill. Drummers just don’t get enough love…

This really shows how well the band is..and Bill sings great in this with Tom showing off his awesome guitar skills and Gustav and Georg are AMAZING too…this really shows thatthey are a band and they have changed soo much its kinda scary =o

Its weird seeing them like this. They have changed so much. This is how I fell in love with them. I still like their new stuff, but its just got a completely different feel to it. Its like two completely different bands.
I mainly just wish that they would perform live again like this. It seems like every time I have seen them lately its been at least playback. I think the vocal surgery on Bill really hurt him, he hasn’t really sang the same ever since.

I don’t want to be rude, but I have to ask: “What the hell are you talking about?” This video is from their own tour. They always doing their own shows live. And even before Bill’s surgery they’ve done plenty of playbacks for TV, so it has nothing to do with Bill’s voice, which is as good as before. Do you need example from this year live concert? Try to watch Creece MTV WS, for a change. Anyone with eyes and ears will see how much they’ve grown as live musician. They were amazing, just amazing. All of them got better. Tom, Georg, Gustav killed that drums. And Bill was incredible with every single note, btw.
So please, please stop winning… If you want them to stay forever in their Schrei years, then you are out of luck. They will change, they will grow, they will become better and better with time. I am so sorry that some of TH fans still stuck in 2006/2007…

I can see why some fans might pine for the days of the band when they were young. I haven’t seen much of their older clips because I’ve only been a fan since July. They look amazing in this video, but not better than they do now. I really appreciate the new sound. They’ve grown with their skills and tastes, and they are a more mature band. Just how I see it. ;-)

I honestly wasn’t saying that I wish that they would go back to the 2006 days or anything, I appreciate that they are growing as musicians and that their sound changes. I love the new CD and listen to it all the time. I was simply trying to comment that they have a very different sound. You can listen to more than one band and still like each of them even though they are different can’t you?
And I never said that they weren’t performing live in this performance, which it kinda sounds like you were insinuating. I thought this was a wonderful performance.
Bill’s voice DOES sound very different than before, you have to admit. While I understand that yes he is a boy and they’re voices change, I thought it changed a long time ago.
I am by no means “whining”. Can a person not state that they like “older” music?

Of course you are entitled to your opinion! Everyone is. And it’s wonderful that you can express a preference for the ‘old school’ version of TH. As I said, my preferences lay in the other direction. I completely respect that fact that you enjoy their earlier sound better, and that the new sound is good for you, too.
Gotta love the fact that we can all VIOLENTLY ;) agree that we LOVE TH, no matter which era we prefer!

I like both the old and the new sound of TH. It is normal for bands to evolve with their music and style . I think if they didn’t, it would get boring after a while.

I don’t know what you mean at all because Tokio Hotel has always given their heart and soul into each and every performance – anyone with eyes and ears can see that. Maybe you’re just missing the big concerts like this, but they will be back soon, once they start their Humanoid City tour ;)

Your joking right? You probably have been a fan of TH as long as i have. Alot of people don’t notice it, but for them its pretty much not about the music anymore. And whatever you can believe the nonsense they say but it’s all lies. The band just says what people like to hear and smile in your face. I was watching “Schrei Live” DVD the other day for the first time and I was at absolute awe at boy’s professionalism and drive on stage. They were what? 16-17 years old?!
To command 15 000 people at that arena with such easy at that age is incredible!!!
And it’s so wonderful to witness their growth as live band. Schrei tour, than Zimmer, than we had that amazing little tease in Greece of what to come. They will blow people away with their Humanoid City tour. And since I am not gonna be able to see their concert live :(, I am sooooo looking forward to DVD!!! Again from Oberhausen I am sure :).

This is the first song that got me in the gut. I love it!!! Its always been one of my favs. Man i wish they would play in a stadium like that here in the us.. but then again i like the small more intimate performances also :)

So I’m guessing this was the ‘an deiner seite’ of the schrei album era (last song of the show). So many cool things observed:
1. Wave-dance at the start
2. Great song, even better on album though in bb bill’s voice
3. Loved bill’s layer-y haircut, very pretty
4. Gustav drum solooo
5. Man, oberhausen is HUGE and it was packed, amazing to think they were already pros at rocking the house before we even knew them here in the states
6. I remember 06 b/c it wasn’t that long ago to me, and yet, for them it was very early in their career, so much has happened since then..
just wow. a lot to think about. =D

I sometimes go back and watch old tokio hotel tv episodes and just have to laugh. it is hard to believe sometimes that the twins are 20! they grow up so fast!! we are truly lucky to be able to watch some old school tokio hotel…..rock on guys!
