October 27, 2008. Some of you enjoyed the evening with Tokio Hotel. You may remember the night. It was Columbus, Ohio. Bill surprised us by wearing the silver jeans that he had worn in the 2009 Calendar Photoshoot. This was also the night of the bra that landed on Bill and then ended up on Georg’s mic stand.

For more pictures, you can check out our freshly updated album.

Enjoy the memory and share if you were there?

They said they would even give up the Anime-Expo if it’s that weekend (which is HUGE! Anime is/was my kids’ first love!). Thank you Schnee and everyone for sharing!

He’s so good at reacting to the crazy things that girls like to throw at him. ^_^ This video definitely gave me my laugh for the day. Thanks Schnee! lol.

I was there with my daughter. We live in Buffalo, NY and drove all the way to Columbus, OH for the concert. It was awesome !!!! We had only been fans for a month or so at that point. We had a great time. My daughter was so excited when she saw Bill on the stage. When the Tokio Hotel banner dropped and Bill was there she kept saying I can’t believe its him, I can’t believe its Bill!!!!! I just remember he looked so huge on stage with his lion’s mane hair on top of being so tall to begin with. What a presence on stage!!! The girls we met in line and who stood by us during the concert ran over to the corner of the balcony at the Newport Music Hall and threw their bras on stage. They ran back and told us, it was crazy, we couldn’t believe they did that. It is a memory my daughter cherishes (and what a cool mom she has right!! I even pulled her out of school for two days for the trip!)

Nice to see you took your son. Doesn’t seem like they have a whole lot of guy fans. We can’t wait to seem them again either. I might even be a bigger fan than my daughter!!! Looks like we won’t see them in the states until maybe next summer though.

LOL! I hope everyone finds the humor in it – I’m actually happily married, just a rock fan! Always have been, so when something this exciting comes along, I can’t let the fact that I’m not 16 anymore stand in the way!

Happily married too!! My husband thinks I am a crazy. With the Tokio Hotel this and the Tokio Hotel that. He says “your not a teenager anymore” Oh well, besides the fact that Bill is too adorable, they are a great, talented band and I love their music.

I am a huge parent fan of Tokio Hotel! I think it is great knowing there are other women fans of Tokio Hotel. My daughter is also a huge fan. I can kick my butt for not taking her to the Columbus concert, and we live only two hours away.My daughter was already a fan and she was trying to get me to listen to their music. She wanted to go so bad I said “I’m not taking you out of school for some band.” Then after they were already here I started listening to their music and fell in love with it.Then I started to watch THTV. Now I wished I had taken her and have made a whole day of it.I tell her every day how sorry I am for not going. Love this band, my daughter and I share this togather, wish I had shared the concert with her. You are lucky to have that with your daughter. I will not miss them this year! I will travel where I need to to see them with my daughter. Thanks, Parent Fan Vicky

Nice to hear from another parent fan. Why does their music have to only be for people in their teens and twenties anyways. The media has made us think that way because they are always called a “german teenie band” just because they started their music careers so young. Who makes the rules about music. Either you like the music or you don’t. I don’t think that has to do with age, just likes and dislikes. But it doesn’t hurt that they are all so damn cute too!!!!!

And I am SO going to be a cool rock star mom for my kids like all of you one day!! <333

    ahhh!
    i was SO there!
and supposedly, my cousin’s friend tiffany is the one who threw one of the bras up there.
    but we didn’t believe her.
[after the show we could still see her bra strap on her body, so...]
    XD
best night ever though, we got there from Akron like, 15 minutes before the show and ended up on the SECOND row :]
oh, and i got bill looking directly into my camera during scream.
this was my second concert, and it was AMAZING.

Jeez, the boys get pumbled with bras all the time. I saw in one vid that a black one got stuck on Georg’s bass. It isn’t this vid, but I was laughing so hard. Can’t wait till they come back to Ohio.

OMG YES I definitely remember! I couldn’t forget it even if I tried(though I don’t know why I ever would lol)! It was my first and only Tokio Hotel concert! I was almost right up front with only two or three people between me and the guard rail, and I was center(maybe a slight bit to the left toward Tom). To this day I still cannot believe I got that close to them. It is the one and only time I have ever seen the boys in person, and it was with out a doubt one of the best nights of my life! My friend and I actually skipped out on school(with my mom’s permission) by filing for educational travel to go visit Ohio State cause Columbus is like a 3 hour drive for me lol. But I do certainly remember the “bra toss” event. The first bra was actually thrown the instant the show started but it landed right at the very edge of the stage and Bill didn’t see until he got hit with the(I think it was a hoodie or something) during RYHT as you see in the vid above. Then during the next song the whole “bra toss” thing started and suddenly there were bras everywhere! lmao Good times. ♥ (My bra stayed right where it was though, supporting my girls! lol) Wow I’m long-winded. xD

“(My bra stayed right where it was though, supporting my girls! lol)” Hilariious!!!
I saw them in St. Paul last August and was SO close – I was a really new fan, so only now do I realize just how _L U C K Y_ I really was! It was a fantastic show, and I hope every fan has their chance to see them play! Just to be in the same room with them, let alone be so close to Mr. Heaven-on-Legs! :)

I told my daughter we may never be that close to them again. If they get really big in the U.S. they won’t be playing in small intimate venues anymore but huge arenas. We were very lucky to see them. I told her before we decided to make the trip, “there from Germany, they may never be here again, let’s do it”!!!!

      • Romantic Verses says:

Omg it was the same with me. I had only been a fan for seriously like 5 or 6 weeks when I saw them. It was my first legitimate concert experience. Being that close to the stage was crazy and physically exhausting and half way through I was so dehydrated and tired(I was actually shaking from fatigue)that I had to head to the back area, while they were performing Black, where my mom was sitting at a table with another mom with her young kids. Looking back at it now I could kick myself in the arsch for leaving the front cause I’ll most likely never get that close again, even if I do get in the very front(cause bigger venues means more distance, even in the front). If I ever did get the opportunity to get that close again at a show I’d have to be on the verge of passing out before I left my spot! lol xD
