On October 11, Tokio Hotel appeared on the Mario Barth show where they performed Geisterfahrer (Phantomrider) for the first time. It airs today, in approximately 15 minutes from the time of this post. :)

What we know, thanks to Yaira:
They performed Geisterfaher, playback, and when there was a short break, she called Bill. The host made a joke that he even touched him and people laughed at her. After the break they did some sort of race, Bill alone, Tom & Georg together, Mario & Gustav together, which was funny.

i loved this performance, adored it i should say. if that even shows a fraction of the emotion bill will put into this song when they play it on the tour… then we’re in for the tour of the millennium. absolutely stunning.

Thank you! I was watching through the whole show and skipping ahead thinking, what is this? there’s so much going on, are they even going to be on this episode?? HHAHA lmao at the host learning salsa with his pink spandex on: “What? I look like a sausage?” and then yelling at people on the megaphone in german at a beach in MIAMI (not an hour away from me), lol!
Finally they came on, and is it bad to say that I liked the bumper cars more than the performance? it was just so fun, I loved how they started cheating from the beginning by throwing the cones, and bill’s victory at the end and his handshake with gustav, hahaha they should do more crazy shows like this!

Let it be one of their singles, please, please. The song is soooo good. I don’t care that it was playback on Mario, I am more upset that it was cut short a little bit. Otherwise, they looked amazing, audience gave them standing ovation!!! So I am happy for them.

OMG. SO GEIL!!! I love “Geisterfahrer” and the English verison “Phantomrider” as well! =D I wish it hadn’t been playback though… I guess Bill needs to rest his voice as much as he can for the 2009 EMA’s; so I don’t really blame him. I’m soo excited!! =D
