MonicaFTW had an interesting experience when she went to Hot Topic to buy her Tokio Hotel shirt! Here is her story! (p.s. we love this Hot Topic dude a lot now)
I went to see the Tokio Hotel shirt at my Hot Topic a few days ago, and I just could not find it, so I asked the sales guy to find it and he was so surprised (and he looked at me like I was handicapped) and he was like “You can’t find a TOKIO HOTEL shirt??” And he’s like “The new shirt is a girl’s style, so it’s in the girls.” (like I didn’t look there already )
He looks for a few moments and he can’t find it, but finally, hidden beneath two other band-shirt styles is the new shirt.
He gets this weird look on his face, and he calls this other sales girl over and he’s like “Why the hell is the Tokio Hotel on the BOTTOM??” He looked absolutely scandalized. It was too funny! “You ALWAYS display the shirts, hang them up, not shove them underneath, in the bottom! Are you crazy!”
My friend and I were majoring LOLing our heads off while this was happening too.

cool. we all have our moments. unfortunately, it seems like i never meet anybody who likes TH or even knows who they are here. grr…our HT is okay in terms of TH merch, but its not that great. its tiny and hardly ever has what i’m looking for. hence the website.

The people at my Hot Topic are like my best friends lmao. wheni walk into the store they go “Hey Kaulitz!” lmao. and they already know when i get there what i’m looking for. they update me on any new merchandise that has came in and stuff. at first they kinda made fun of me because i liked TH but after hanging with them alot, they actually like them!:D i love them xD<33

I had a (sorta) similar experience!! A couple weekends ago I went to Hot Topic in search of the silver necklace that says “Tokio Hotel” then the symbol. The HT at the first mall I went to didn’t have it. I then started to assume they didn’t carry it yet sense it was still a very new item. I then went the next mall and started for the jewelry, because I thought that
‘s where it might be, and I walked past a section of shirts and I saw it! The new shirt. I literally fell to my knees in front of it, and started crying; I didn’t bring enough money with me. So, I got my allowance the next day and I woke up super early and forced my mother to drive me back so I could co buy it. I got there and a worker at Hot Topic surprisingly had on a Tokio Hotel shirt!! I was, of course, wearing one also. He saw me, skipped over and said, “Have you seen the new necklace!?”, and pointed over at the back wall. I ran to the back, dodging people left and right. I yanked it off the wall and stared at it. It was literally glistening. I hugged it and proceeded to the check out… turns out the worker who had guided me to the beauty of a necklace had actually seen my whole freak-out-obsessed-crazy-fangirl-that-must-have-all-the-merchandise moment… He then breaks the awkward silence and says, “So, do you like Tokio Hotel?”. I said, “Ummm… yes.” and then we both started to bust up.
God, I love Tokio Hotel so much I cant’s even FREAKING explain it.

Ugh, me too!! the HT in my nearest mall is REALLY small and in the summer…it’s…well…hot.
My friend has crazy connections, and she pre-ordered Humanoid. So I was spending the night at her house, and in the morning, a box came in the mail. we opened it up, in our PJ’s btw, screaming and stuff, thinking it was Humanoid.
Turns out it was her dad’s new phone.

OMG I wish the workers at the Hot Topic I go to was that Awesome! Everytime i ask for something about TH they give me a look like you really like that band? And they tell me that the item won’t be in for another month or so…:(

ah that reminds me of the last time I was in my local HT store, there was only one worker dude and he was singing out loud to all the hit songs playing, and when I was paying for my TH shirts he asked me if I’d gone to their concert when they came here to orlando florida last yr, I was like YES :D so I told him about that being my first concert experience and the whole awesomeness of it, lol he was rlly fun to talk to, then I told him it must be rlly fun to work there, he said u just gotta know alot about music <3

i’ve only gone to HT once, this summer to buy a Th tshirt, there were only 2 tshirts!
it was a dramatic day, because we almoust could not get there.. so i cryed i little! hahah.
But we did got there… and i bought my great Tokio Hotel tshirt! im wearing it tomorrow, to have luck for my french oral exam :D

I was in HT yesterday and found the new Tokio Hotel shirt. Then….there was this bulletin board that asked what new CD you were excited about getting. So I filled out a paper and said TOKIO HOTEL in real big letters and pinned it to the board.

i had this some what happen to me once.
i walked into hottopic wearin the scream TH hoodie and was buying like 3 t’s.
it was easy for me to find cuz ima guy.
nd when i went to pay for them the guy at the cac=sh register was like “hey! sweet shirts dude! i love TH!”
i was so happy to see a TH fan!
nd we chated a bit about TH
ive been shoppin at that hottopic ever since.
plus like ALL their TH is hanging up were everyone can see them!

OMG, i would’ve totally burst out laughing, that guy is amazing!
Where I’m from, not a lot of people like them.
I was in my German class,and we had a German magazine to look through and a worksheet. I opened the magazine and had a spaz attack! Tokio Hotel was in there, and on the worksheet there was a question about them!!! I couldn’t stop screaming for the rest of the day!

LOL when i went to go buy mine the minute i walked in there i saw it! i got soo happy , but i couldn’t find that tokio hotel neckelece so i just went to go pay the shirt but i HAD to blurt out if they had the toki ohotel neckelece and so i asked the HT guy and hes like yes! AND I GOT SOO HAPPY@ i went to go look for them in the neckelece area and i didn’t see them and they were at the VERY back of the store and so he also asks this other lady and it was funn and nunny ;)

I was in my Hot Topic- checking out the new shirt. (Luckily I quickly found it, located near the top ;D ). The sales guy noticed and was like, “They’ve got a new album coming out, an they just released a single.” I smiled, and pointed to my earbuds, wrapped around my neck. “Yea it’s called Automatic an it’s currently playing on my ipod!”
I let the sales guy listen to it, and he liked it. Then he made the comment, “They kind of sound like if the Backstreet Boys were around today- and then went punk.” haha
