Tokio Hotel is going a different direction with this cover and it is pretty amazing. Tom posted it on his blog this morning and Viva gave a sneak peak last night. What do you think? You can click to make this image larger.

I’m loving these covers! And I agree, I think that it was a group decision. (even if they don’t always agree on every detail) Bill may be the singer, but I think they are pretty good about making decisions together. Who knows, maybe the others didn’t want to do it..maybe they all did covers and decided that Bill’s was the best fit. None of us know because we weren’t there and we shouldn’t let something like that upset us and steal our joy about their new cd. I like this creative concept. (no matter which bandmembers’ face was used) And yes I’m always up for seeing photos of the entire band, but I also trust their instincts! They’ve got great instincts! Let’em go with it.. They know what they’re doing!!

I love it. If the other guys wanted to be on the cover they would be on the cover. Its not because Bill just said: “I’m better and more important than all of you, so I should be on the cover” They all had a decision so they decided Bill would be on the cover! Stop hating.

If I hear “Why is Bill the only one on it? He’s not a solo artist. Where’s the other guys” I’m going to explode. I understand how this might not be everyone’s cup-of-tea, but really? If the other guys in the band didn’t like the fact that only Bill is on the cover, then it wouldn’t be the cover. This was the product of a lot of brainstorming and consensus taking and it’s sad some fans can’t get over the fact that the whole band isn’t on it to try and see the deeper meaning behind the cover art. (Or at least judge it on its artistic merits.) They’re trying something else out and they should be applauded for taking the risk.

And I’m fine with that. If someone doesn’t like the cover because they don’t like it (or yeah, they wish the other guys were on it) that’s fine. But the fact that the cover art is being eclipsed by whining is just ridiculous, imo.

creative…interesting…but not my favorite. and its just bill, which dissapoints me. its too…humanoidish. i know its supposed to be like that and i still like it, but its just not 100% my taste.

Hmm, I wonder why the shiny eye is different for the English and German versions, it doesn’t really add or detract from anything, lol. This is so terminator/matrix-esque, kind of scary but interesting. Why only Bill? Who knows? But I’m sure the rest of them agreed on this and he’s not just trying to hog all the attention without asking. Also, I too am guilty of looking for the missing mole, I don’t like that it’s been edited out in his recent pics xD

people aren’t winein… they just have a different opinions… i think the idea and the cover is kool but it would be better if the whole band was on it or if they add a similar pic ( u kno as robotz) of the whole band on the back or in the lyric book… but somepeople would perfer the whole band on the cover not just bill cuz he does get enough of the spotlight cuz he is alwayz in the front of the pictures in bigger on some tee shirtz n getz more publicity… even tho some of the boyz dont want 2 be in the spotlight.. wait im bablin… any way the entire band put alot of effort into the album so they should all be on the cover or none !!!

I don’t like seeing Bill dehumanized.
That’s my honest opinion.
They may have gotten a better response, had they used more subtle means of conveying their message, but this comes on too strong. And I have to agree: All of the guys should be on the cover. Or they should just have art of some sort with none of them on the cover.

you know, i was starting to think that… as much as I LOVE TOM, i was really starting to think if BILL was really a robot. LOL
because, he’s just perfect in so many ways: beautiful face, clear skin, nice smile, great hair, awesome vocal chords, smart, funny, he’s just PERFECTION!
*as for the album cover, I LOVE IT. kinda miss the other boys though, they should’ve made all of them into robots*

Ooohhh.. I like it. It’s really cool and all, but I was hoping more for a whole band picture. I still like it. I guess they are all okay with what it is now.

ya know in some pictures they really dont need to edit out the mole cuz it is awfuly adorable, but in this one i think he might have wanted it to be taken out. just cuz of the whole look of the cover, and the whole “humaniod” thing…. idk how to explain it, but its like his face needs to be perfect. lol idk if that made any sense

I don’t get all the whining going on about Bill being the only one on the cover. Am I the only one who can actually see that this is a genious work of art, and that it has a message?
All the guys represent Tokio Hotel, so who cares who’s on the cover or not, when they make such an amazing piece of art for us?

That’s just the album cover, the most important thing is INSIDE, which is the music.

I do like the cover a lot but I do have to agree that Bill does seem to get more attention than most and for good reason. He’s unrealistically gorgeous! With that said, I would’ve like to have seen something with all of them on it in some way. Still, I really like the cover and prefer the one with the shine as it has that “Terminator” feel to it. I love all four of them! Georg and Gustav, step up guys!!!

Bill is pure perfection. His face is flawless…
Sure I would like it if the whole band was on it but in general I don’t give a damn. Even Tom can’t pull this look of an alien beauty. Only Bill can and Idk any other artists that have Bills face of angelic beauty. When I think of a robot, I think flawless and smooth and androgynous. Our Billy is excactly that! There ain’t gonna be anyother album covers rockn this vibe. So I think this is fuckn awesome and creative cover.
Btw, on YouTube someone did a fanmade cover that had all of them looking like this and Bill was the only one fitting part. Tom was ok…

bill’s my fave and all but its not fair, on interviews whos the on holding the mic, bill. on group pics who is ALWAYS in the middle striking his pose, bill. now who is on the album cover BILL. oo and even in fan videos on youtube theres A LOT on bill and tom, but nvr ones but georg or gustav. they’re all AMAZING and the other guys should get some stardom.

Yeah, it’s only of Bill, but like some article said a while ago, this might as well be Bill’s album because it’s all his ideas. If the rest are okay with that then cool, if not then, Bill stop hogging the attention xD
Maybe they all love his idea though and are content with him just being on the album because they see him as the “leader”, in a good sense, not with bad motives. They love him <3

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA……I love this band, BUT…WTF this is tacky. That what all the other fans have been saying, not just me, so don’t hate on me. Fans are also upset that it’s only bill on the cover. I wish the cover was the hand holding the heart instead.

They’re both the real version; the first one was posted on the English blog and the second on the German blog, so one can assume that the English version of Humanoid will have the cover with the shine, and the German version won’t.
