Oh, this is such great news! Tokio Hotel will be appearing on Viva Live in Berlin on October 2, the day of the release of Humanoid in Europe! Their Viva interviews are always SO SO great! In fact, while we wait, let’s trip back in time. There are other videos by this user, but this was the pre-listening event for Zimmer 483!

Best Buy Deluxe Version with German Bonus

Okay, there has been something of a mix-up. Best Buy now has the ABSOLUTE 100% correct version of the special, exclusive Humanoid Deluxe Version with the extra CD with 12 German Songs.

If you have ordered either of the other versions, here are the steps you should take.

To clarify, Best Buy has three versions.
They have a standard version.
They have a deluxe version with 4 bonus songs.
They have the deluxe version with 4 bonus songs AND the German CD. This is the one most of us want.

Hot Topic loves Tokio Hotel

MonicaFTW had an interesting experience when she went to Hot Topic to buy her Tokio Hotel shirt! Here is her story! (p.s. we love this Hot Topic dude a lot now)

I went to see the Tokio Hotel shirt at my Hot Topic a few days ago, and I just could not find it, so I asked the sales guy to find it and he was so surprised (and he looked at me like I was handicapped) and he was like “You can’t find a TOKIO HOTEL shirt??” And he’s like “The new shirt is a girl’s style, so it’s in the girls.” (like I didn’t look there already )

He looks for a few moments and he can’t find it, but finally, hidden beneath two other band-shirt styles is the new shirt.

He gets this weird look on his face, and he calls this other sales girl over and he’s like “Why the hell is the Tokio Hotel on the BOTTOM??” He looked absolutely scandalized. It was too funny! “You ALWAYS display the shirts, hang them up, not shove them underneath, in the bottom! Are you crazy!”

My friend and I were majoring LOLing our heads off while this was happening too.

Cooking Pasta in Spain

Tom Kaulitz: I have sex in my voice

Gosh, Tom is adorable! MTV.com has a new article about the recording process for Humanoid. In it, Tom talks about why Bill is the singer and not him. As always, the twins Kaulitz bring their humor into the situation. Comments on MTV articles are always welcomed, and noticed.

MTV.com: Tokio Hotel are bringing their fans inside the studio once again with another exclusive, behind-the-scenes clip provided to MTV News. In the video, the pop-rockers are working on Humanoid, due October 6.

Speaking from the Los Angeles studio where they recorded the Scream follow-up, lead singer Bill Kaulitz discusses having to sing in German and English. “They have to do this super complicated thing: change the session … from German to English,” he explained. “Yes, constant switches. I believe no other singer has to remember so many different lyrics like I do. It’s only the third album, and I already have 10,000 songs.”

Meanwhile, Tom Kaulitz talks about the different dynamics he and brother Bill have in their voices, saying one thing separates them: “I have more sex in my voice,” Tom explained. “Actually, the decision [for Bill to be the lead singer] was because of the securities. The securities asked us for it, because if I sing, there would be an escalation at each show. To calm things down, we went with Bill.”

Tom also discussed how his brother has to work to remember the songs they are recording for when they hit the road. “He needs to remember everything for the tour. I actually did all of the recordings up to now,” he said. “He needs to learn everything for our tour, which is why we rented this studio. We’ll check it out, and hopefully he’ll manage the upcoming albums without me.”

He also talked about the time the guys in the band tried out different roles. “Bill was playing bass, because it’s the easiest,” Tom recalled. “He only had to play a few tones. Yes, I [played the drums. Drummer Gustav Schäfer], he sang, and [bassist] Georg [Listing] played the guitar. That was wicked. I think we performed [the Scream track] ‘Monsoon,’ didn’t we?

“[Gustav turned it into hardcore metal] to cover [the fact] that he can’t sing,” Tom continued. “I was perfect. Like a clockwork. But the others messed it up.”

Fan Party – Milan

We have some updates from the party in Milan. It was chaotic and like the one in Hamburg, a lot of fans showed up to show support, hope for a glimpse of the band and maybe somehow get in, even without a ticket. It was very short, more like just a question and answer session.

Bill : Dressed in black, silver braces
Tom: Black t-shirt, black jacket with white and red stripes
Georg: White t-shirt with black jacket
Gustav : T-shirt that says “Cowboy Boy”

h 12.15: there are something like 100 people.. lots of people trying to get in without the ticket..
Girls who won the ticket had to get in to get their pass, so they have already seen the stage.. there are four red chairs on the stage.
there is a lot of confusion.
afterwards a number will be drawn to meet the band.

h 1.09 pm: they changed the entrance. people are fighting about who arrived first. there are 500 people tops, including fans without a ticket.

h 1.23: we are queueing right now. it’s hot, and there are lots of people..

h 1.58: everybody is screaming, but the guys aren’t there yet.. we’re getting in!

h 2.03: i’m in.. something behind the stage is moving.. there are 4 red chairs on the stage and a banner.

h 2.09: it’s a mess! there are screens broadcasting THTV episodes..

h 2.21: seems like the guys will arrive at 3pm.. it’s a mess here..

h 2.40: far ago only people with the tickets got in. it’s crazy here. we’re less than 500.

h 2.50: they’re recording us while we sing Tokio Hotel songs, to keep us calm.

h 2.54: they’re making us say in German like “my name is Sara”.

h 3.00: some guys from the recording company got in to host. we’ll hear a minute from all the songs in the new album. then we’ll see a video with exclusive photos, then questions will be asked.

h 3.24: as two fans can’t go to the Meet & Greet they won, now they’ll draw two of the numbers they gave us earlier.
people without the ticket didn’t get in.
now we’re watching an exclusive interview.

h 3.40: they’re broadcasting the last THTV episode, the one with Ingrid and Klaus..

h 3.42: now we’re watching the first episode of THTV.. someone outside is saying that the guys arrived..

The chat in Habbo for the USA was chaotic and we have some screencaps. The chat was different, to say the least.Here they are, followed by a transcript.

Q1: What was the name of your first band?
TH: First name was Black Questionmark. And then Devilish.

Q2: Question mark was only 2 boys right?
TH: Devilish in the beginning, then Georg & Gustav came.

Q3: Now how did you came up with the name Tokio Hotel?
TH: We like big cities so Tokio Hotel sounded cool. Hotel because it’s an international name. You understand it in every country.

Q4: So anything exciting that have happened since your last visit at the hotel? It’s been bout 1,5 years since your last visit at the hotel I think :)
TH: We had a cool concert in Rome yesterday, and it’s one day less to the album-release now :)

Q5: Now is the album out in the US at the same time? Will it be released on the 2nd?
TH: We hope yes – but we believe in America are always a few days after Europe.

The asker: I think I heard US would get it on the 6t. So yeah only like 4 days.
TH: Yes for sure. With exclusive content on iTunes.
Asker: Nice, I love iTunes.

Q6: Now a lot of habbos want to know about US dates?
TH:

Q7: How was it making the recent album? Any favorite songs?
TH: We have written and produced almost 1 year for this album. It took 1 year – quite a lot of work. Our currently favorite song is Automatic.

Q8: Automatic is the 1st single right?
TH: Yes, it’s the first single.

Q9: Now a lot of habbos are wondering if you have any girlfriends?
TH: We’re all single accept for Georg.

TH: No we’ve never been to Hooters yet. We’ve had invitations but never made it yet.

Asker: Bill I got to ask… What’s up with the hair?
TH: It’s very iconic.

TH: No we don’t believe in ghosts but we hope aliens exist.
Asker: Wow, a lots of mass questions.

TH: Our current favorite live song to perform with is Humanoid – the b-side of our single.

Asker: Still wanting to know what’s up with the hair Bill? It’s very iconic to you and the band.

TH: Yes, Bill got a new hair cut… (something like ‘it’s top secret :)’ )

TH: Our highlights from 2008 was VMA and our US tour
TH (about the hasselhoff question): Georg is still a fan and are longing for a new album soon.

TH: Yes, we could date a fan. Tom is doing it every day.
TH: Being in a tour bus is boring because girls are not allowed in there.
TH: We should stop being a band when someone of us quit.
TH: By the way, we will have our 10th anniversary soon.
TH: NO, no specific plans. we forgot the exact day so we don’t know when to celebrate.

Bill: Gustav’s hair is dark brown, not black.
TH: Use every opportunity – play live as much as you can. send us your demos, maybe we can help you.

Asker: I think we’re running out of time… is there anything you would like to say to the crowd? Before I let them floood on stage?
