Magdeburg, Germany – A 28-year old man has confessed to attacking the drummer of German pop band Tokio Hotel last weekend, police said on Friday. The man said he hit drummer Gustav Schaefer on the head with a beer glass in a Magdeburg disco late Friday night.
The alleged attacker presented himself to investigators and gave a partial confession, saying he had not specifically targeted the band member, the police said.
Schaefer’s head injuries were treated with more than 30 stitches.
Tokio Hotel have previously been followed and threatened by stalkers, according to manager David Jost.

Aww…when I heard about this I cried tis so sad. They can’t even leave to go anywhere without ever getting hurt! Why is all this hate out towards the band? They are just doing what they love. Shut up. Threatening to call on all fans to attack this guy? Your words could set things in motion you don’t want to live with. Then there’s the rest of the story from MTV (http://www.mtv.ca/news/article.jhtml?id=18404). It’s starting to look like self defense on the part of the other guy with Gustav starting the fight by coming on to his brothers girl friend in a crud manner and having his brother beaten up and then threatening to hit the guy that beat him with a beer bottle. If that turns out to be true then Gustav is to blame. Don’t forget TH’s fame let them get away with a lot of stuff and fame can go to the head. Otherwise shut up with the threats and calls for retaliation. YOU can be charged for instigation of violence for posting this if it happens.
