David Jost seems like such an incredible person. This is a good decision on the part of the band, I think. Full article follows, translation by dypnf, please credit her when you use this.

Tokio Hotel is defending themselves against stalkers with legal action

Hamburg: The teenie band Tokio Hotel wants to leave the conflict with the pushy fans completely to the justice.

David Jost, the manager of the Magdeburger band announced on Thursday that the band won’t give any statements more to the incidents. “We think that from now on the stalker issue can and has to be finished of legally”, Jost explains.

In the beginning of April Bill’s twin brother Tom Kaulitz clashed with a young woman at a gas station in Hamburg. The manager reported thereupon that the band is being followed for years and since recently also got harassed from masked girls. This is also the reason why the band and their families kept moving to different homes/locations (?).

It’s about time! This needs to end and end soon. The boys don’t deserve to be treated this way and their families should have to move all the time just to avoid them. Thank you Jost, I’m glad someone is being proactive about this.

I honestly feel the whole reason this thing got out of hand is partly because of the ‘justice system’ there
If these girls had been following them for YEARS and
TH and their management had reported it to the police, WHY WASNT ANYTHING DONE
BESIDES JUST having them ‘collect evidence’

It’s just a pool of madness
    Thats all I can say
I just hope they get to come back to the states soon..

I’m sure this is the best way to handle this.
Because if they talked to the press it can lead to name calling and what not.

This is to be settle in court, not in magazines and interviews.

Jost seems like such a cool guy.
I think I would totally slip up and end up calling him dad.

I think Jost and the guys mad a great decision this has been going on way to long. And its time that it ends. The more we as fans comment on this the more these girls are going to keep it going and to me these guys need a break from this and so do their families. We as fans know that it wasnt right for this to happen to these guys but we as fans also should give them some peace of mind and and stop putting fuel to the fire and just let them know we are all here for them no matter what. And we should do this by not commenting on the issue.Dont get me wrong I Love Tokio Hotel as much as everyone but if it will help ease their minds im will to leave it in the hands of the professionals.FANS AGAINST STALKERS!!!! LOTS OF LOVE GUYS.

This has to be the best idea they had about this situation. A statement it’s not worth it if Perrine keeps changing the story. In the end, everybody will realize about that, I hope.

I think this is a wise move. Hopefully it keeps it from becoming a media circus. The media distorts things so much…hopefully this gets handled quickly and TH can get back to making music and doing what they love. Must be horribly frustrating for them to be going through this.

Does this mean they weren’t officially charged before and Tokio Hotel was trying for some out of court settlement with them?

And if it is now an official charge – does that mean both parties have to stop talking to the press?

    • Maya says:

rate this comment Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

TH did officially press charges against a few of the members before the gas station incident. Then after the incident, the stalkers pressed violence charges against Tom. Then they tried to settle the matter out of court, but the stalkers didn’t agree to their proposal, so now it’s in court.

well i’m glad they’re leaving it to authorities instead of playing the blame game with those dumb girls. the more those girls talk, the deeper the hole they dig themselves. jost is definitely smart to have the boys keep quiet.

      Im not so sure…
I mean.. If it gets like with Tom Cruise where all the reporters interviewing them have to promise not to ask about it if they want an interview, I dont think it is a good move..
Cuz that will just make everything more confusing and leed to stupid people speculating and makeing false rumors..
+ it is not a good road to go, TH are known to be open to answer almost everything about their private life, and suddenly people cant ask them this, and cant ask them that, is that really the best thing to do.. Like as if they are hiding something..
I think they shall let people ask about it, and if they dont feel like answering they should say something like: We wanna put this behind us, or We are not ready to talk about that yet or whatever…
Ofcource they might be doing that, I hope so, but if it gets like with Tom Cruise and many others, I think it would be very frustrating and I would beginn thinking that if the reporter cant ask that, what else cant he/she ask???..

this is pure craziness, i feel like lately the most strange and unthinkable events have been happening, it seriously makes me wonder how much more corrupt this world needs to get until it realizes that its time for a change.
