Hallo, I am Alyssa as known as Alyssuh on the THA website. The first time I heard Tokio Hotel is a day I will always remember. I can still remember what time it was when I even heard my first song by them.
So here is how it went: July 20th 2008 I was sitting at home watching MTV and on commercials they show some bands that are on tour and where they were touring.
And the band Tokio Hotel came up, at the time I was really interested in finding new bands to listen to so I wrote Tokio Hotel on my hand so I would remember to look them up.
I ended up forgetting until 8:47 pm later that night.
So, I went to youtube and typed in Tokio Hotel, and clicked on Ready Set, Go!
I started watching it and when Bill came on the screen I was totally amazed about how hot he is, It was love at first sight.
The next day I started looking up stuff about them, and I found out they were German, I thought it was really cool so I wanted to listen to one of their German songs and I listened to Spring Nicht. At the time I didn’t understand German, But there was so much emotion in the music that I cried.
I became very curious about them and listened to all their songs and started to learn German, spending hours on end looking things up about them. Then I went to their myspace page and saw they were going to be touring in St.Paul Minnesota on the 16th of August. I was so excited I started to scream because St.Paul is only four hours away from where I live, so I called my dad and begged him to let me go to it and he didn’t know if he had the money for me to go, so I was so sad for days I NEEDED to go. Then my dad called me and told me he got the tickets. I was so excited.
I waited in line for about 2 hours. Then they let us in and I was pretty close to the front row. Then Tom and Georg started in with their guitar to Break Away and the Big screen with the TH symbol ripped down, and there they were. the four most beautiful guys in the world. Everyone was screaming.
It was so awesome Bill even pointed at me when he was singing and I totally freaked out. But, then they went on a break and my dad wanted to leave. so I had to. It’s so sad to know that I could have seen them for just a few more minutes.
Since then, I have been voting for them and supporting them, waiting for the day they will come back.

holy crap almost the same thing that happened to me i was watching the vmas and i was amazed that they won because i never heard them so i went and saw ready set go and IMMEDIATLEY fell in love!!!

Cept I found them randomly searching for new music on youtube, now I can’t get enough of them! :]
I desperatly wanted to go to one of their concerts when they were here in the States.
But my mom wouldn’t let me go because apparently 14 is too young to see a concert.

I remember the first time I saw and heard them too, long story, but the exitement to see them and hear them never goes away. I’ve been lucky to have seen them live 6 times and met them 3 times and I still get super exited and nervous. People ask why I still act like that but I can’t help it it’s Tokio Hotel!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!

I fell in love with bill when i saw hime in monsoon on MTV. The same night, they were on TRL and it showed their names and i was like, wait….. because i saw that bill and tom had the same last name. i thought they looked alot like eachother, so i looked them up. i shouted to my best friend kaela, ” they are twins!” and we were so excited. yes, it’s the kaela on the top of the page. well, from then on, we have been absolutely OBSESSED and our favorite band changed to them 7 months ago. Sorry you had to leave early. My dad would NEVER do that because he knows how much i love them…. plus he likes their songs kinda. I AM THE #1 TH FAN!!!!! *kiss kiss!* *Nikki*

that’s too bad…. i didn’t want to bring me down but i missed phooson because my bff’s mom wanted to win the tickets, and we didn’t win, so now they came to arizona and i missed it. their manager told me they would probably come after the album though.

Reading Loka magazine from Spain; news about canceled concerts because Bill was sick!!!!!! I first said: “That girl (Bill) has such a cool style, and this one too (Tom)” Then my friend tells me: “Cristina, what is wrong with you?, they’re boys”. First I said: “NO, they’re not!” I kept thinking of them the whole week, I think. Went to google: LOVE AT VERY FIRST SIGHT!!!!!!!!! They totally caught me with Monsoon!!!!! And since then the rest is history!!!!!!!!!!

I love your story. I don’t remember the exact date I became a fan, but I found out about them on gaiaonline. Pretty embarrassing I know. But at least I can say I’ve been a fan since 2006! Sad part is that after all those years I still haven’t been able to go to a concert or meet them.

thats totally awesome!
the first time i heard about them was from my friend…and believe it or not, the first time i didnt really like them.
then my other friend showed me some german songs and i was IN.LOVE. i was obsessed with tom and bill like there would be no tomorrow.
and then schrei turned out to be the top song played on my ipod.

and then i went to their signing in october,gave them gifts and got forced out of the room and cried happy and cried sad but hey at least i saw them

The first song I heard was monsoon but I did not know at first who it was because it was a music video and it was almost finishing so after the vid I was left with the two questions who’s the band and is the lead singer a girl about a week later I saw the vid again and found out who they where and since then I’ve been hooked on tokio hotel

i found them december 22, 2008.
well i saw the ready, set, go! video on MTV over the summer.
and i voted for them for the VMAs.
i have the most respect for them and i cant wait for the new album!

Ahh I don’t exactly remember what day I found them but sadly it wasn’t that long ago. It was in summer, like the end, and I was watching TRL and on came Monsoon. I knew Bill was a guy, a very hot one at that, and my mom was passing by as I was watching and was like wow, he either is gay or wants to be a girl. I got kind of mad and went and started looking them up. Found out he wasn’t gay, yay :D, and fell in love. Got their CD about 2 weeks of torture later. Became obssesed with eveyrthing a usualy TH fan would.
I wish I had found them in 2007. I hate that I’ve known them for so little of time. But at least I do know them.<3

I would literally cry if I couldn’t see an entire concert lol xD After going to their first US concert last February, I want to go to another one, so ._. ja lol I actually cried when I couldn’t go to the San Francisco concert, because I was “an adult, and had to make the responsible decision in not going” T_T ugh… parents.

Whoa. First time I saw them was the MTV VMAs and I thought Bill was a girl. So I looked them up found out he was a guy and found their songs were quite good, then, somehow, I developed a slight obsession with Bill. I’ve been a fan ever since. Maybe it was all those THTV episodes. So cute. I still think Bill is quite feminine but I love him like that. I never did like those nails though.

I also first saw them on the VMA’s and at first I was like WOW! ok, I knew Bill wasn’t a girl right off, being I grew up with hair bands in the 80′s, but I thought he was cute and loved the hair. The Monster Truck was totally awesome! Then I saw them on Jimmy Kimmel and heard them perform and I was hooked ever since then, and now have a crush on Tom, but still think Bill is hot too! I am 33 years old and married , but hey I’m not dead you know!!! I can still dream, lol!

Lol, nice. I knew wasn’t because I’d heard about them from my friend Evan. I thought they sounded promising as a band, and I ended up falling in love with them :D I honestly have no idea what I would be doing right now if I had never thought to find out what Tokio Hotel was. I’ve been a fan since 2006, and I still haven’t been to one of their concerts. T_T
