On a PETA Blog, they are talking about guys, their love for animals and sharing a link to buy their DVD! Wow to go with the elephant love, Tom! You should really proud to be recognized for this! They also think Bill has the best hair ever!
After watching Tokio Hotel’s recent DVD, Caught on Camera, two things became very clear to me—the boys in Tokio Hotel are hilarious, and they really care about animals. When the subject of their rather elaborate entrance to MTV’s Video Music Awards on a monster truck came up, the boys took the opportunity to mention how they felt about rapper T-Pain arriving on an elephant.
Tokio Hotel’s vocalist (with the best hair ever, I might add), Bill Kaulitz, said “it was sheer cruelty—it was that.” Bill’s brother and Tokio Hotel’s guitarist, Tom, followed Bill’s thought by saying “I hate zoos and circuses. People shouldn’t take their children to either one.” We couldn’t agree more, boys! Circuses are certainly no fun for animals, as they are confined to small enclosures, forced to do tricks, beaten with sharp metal bullhooks, and unable to live a normal life. Thankfully, there are quite a few all human circuses out there, which are a very entertaining alternative!
If you haven’t seen the DVD for yourself, you can purchase it here!

I’m glad PETA recognized this. I’m glad everyone hears that people shouldn’t treat animals this way,
but I have to say I wish they had of credited Georg as well.
On the DVD (it’s near the end of the first one) the conversations starts with Georg
Georg: I was sorry for the Elephant
Bill: It was sheer cruelty – it was that.
Georg: I was so sorry for that elephant!
All: Yah Yah
Tom: I hate zoos and circuses. People shouldn’t take children to either one.
Bill: Yah
Tom: Zoos are only okay…No, Animal parks are only okay if they protect a dying species. And only if they have enough space.
I know they can only take exerts from the interview, I’m just clarifying.

YEAh!! Glad stars speak thier feelings without worrying what others will think!!
I loved that part of Caught On Camera. Georg said how sorry he felt for that Elephant.
Pink is another one who speaks up. She argued with the elephant trainer when she had an Elephant in her video. She said she later disagreed with every having allowed an elephant to do that.
And she speaks up for horses that have to pull buggies in New York.

Aw, I loved that part on that DVD! it was so cute, it shows they really care about the animals. But honestly I think we shouldn’t judge Bill by what he wears because for all we know it could be fake.

I agree with them. Zoos are horrible and now I feel bad for asking my mom to take me to them all the time when I was younger.
I prefer widelife parks cause the animals are free and you can pet them if they come to your car :D
I petted a zebra xDD Totally random

I really don’t agree with you because in Kansas City, where I live, the zoo is outstanding. I did a six month internship there and worked with over 300 species of the animals and they take pride in their animals care. A lot of the workers would rather amputate a leg than hurt an animal. Yes, there are some zoos that mistreat animals, but the majority of them don’t.

Oh,I remember that part perfectly.
I was really, really impressed the way Tom explained how he didn’t like circuses and Zoos. I found that very Loving of The Band to share their opinion about it. Their such sweet, caring and loving boys.
I wouldn’t trade being thier fan for anything in the world.

I agree with them. I like all-human circuses a lot better…but I’ve never really seen one. And it stinks to see animals being tortured like that.
And SOME zoos are okay, as long as they havea lot of space and it’s out on land and it’s like their natural habitat. But last time I went to the zoo, I saw the Gorillas all locked up in this little glass cubicle, and I swear that got me angry! Like…wtf?
So good job boys!

I give it a month before PETA regrets what they posted. Once they get a look at Bill’s clothing and eating habits I think that they will change there minds.
I can completely see PETA throwing red paint on Bill.

that´s horrible D:
but i need to admit that i don´t like that
the people wear Leather i mean we have a lot of thing
to do clothes and you now i don´t like the idea to wear
a (poor) death animal.
_________________________________________________________
but if Bill liked it´s ok (hope he buy his clothes where the people don´t are cruel whit the animal) ._.
and yeah im so more than agree whit tom i hate the circus
i never liked because apart that are so bored i hate see the poor animals in Cage that are more small than the animal.
and the zoo i think that are ok but only if have like Species on the verge of extinction and if they have the Sufficient space for they
so yeah im glad that there are a few people that have a little brain and one´s on those people are one of my favorite band
SO YEAH…
TOKIO HOTEL FÚR IMMER
AND THE ANIMALS TOO xD

I can see PETA attacking them too. Especially Bill. A person can care for animals without PETA-like extremism. I kind of doubt they ever meant to be PETA poster boys in any way, but I guess any attention is good.

Proffessional zoo’s are not cruel places. Animals there are properly cared for and they are there for educational purposes (both public and scientific). They are great assets for carrying out scientific and conservational research that are often not possible to do in the wild, and everything is done under strict animal rights protocols. They also contribute to captive breeding programs that help endangered populations in the wild.

omg! i remember that part on the dvd!! i was in awe that they felt that way too. i hate circuses too!! when i took my little cousins to the shrining circus several years ago, i noticed in the dark that they were whipping the tigers when they were in their cages. not when they were in the performing ring, just when they pacing back and forth in their cages. after that, i didnt support circuses anymore.

omg i used to love circuses so much but that is horrible. i dont think that i like them so much though any more it seems like im a little old. but wait zoos are not only for animals to be stared at. scientists also do research and stuff like that on the animals dont they? any way i havent been to either in forever and a day so it doesnt matter any more really

Yeah I’m glad they’re not looking into the band’s clothing habits – yikes! Leather, leather, more leather, feathers, fur… and SOME of the million kinds of makeup Bill wears have got to be tested on animals. Well, and that’s just a vegan issue – their hamburger love affair wouldn’t appeal to many in the PETA blogosphere either. But that doesn’t change the fact that they are wonderfully caring and sweet about animals in general, and I’m glad that PETA recognized their compassion and responsibility instead of quibbling.

Fur?!?! What?!?! Fur? When? Where? They wore fur?!?!?! How the hell could they wear fur?!?!?!?!?!
No but really, if PETA found out the truth, they would rip the boys apart…

Personally I’e never seen any of them wear fur, and it’s possible Bill’s vest was fake. I thought about that too after the elephant scene, and I think Bill would rather wear fake feathers. The leather, though, I have no idea about. Since Bill wears a lot and has been for a while, he may not even think about it. :/

Which I think is just how it should be– care for the animals and don’t abuse them and everything you know– they are important and precious =3
– but I certainly don’t see animals like bears, tigers and owls stopping to ask their supper if they mind.
