Okay, so. Caught on Camera is now appearing on the Amazon.com site! YAY! Okay wait… wut? Two versions, neither with any info, both just say “sign me up when this becomes available.” Fine. We will be Sherlock Holmes and figure this out.
By researching the ASIN numbers, I find that one is the Deluxe, one is the Standard. I have no idea if these are the Interscope versions or the UMG Canada versions or the German or… *meh* BUT, you can sign up to be notified when they are released. It’s very easy to sign up for updates. Click the following link to sign up for the one currently showing as Deluxe and if you are interested in the standard, you can find it from that page as well. It’s this one.
There is still no word on whether Interscope will change their plan to release only the Standard version, and it could be that these versions showing on Amazon.com are imports. But either way, if you want, you can sign up to be notified when it becomes available. And maybe by signing up, it sends a message back up the pipe about distribution numbers.

wait wait many questions … 1) is this already out in Germany the deluxe 2) if i get it from the german site will it play on Us DVD players ? 3) is the DvD like options in german cause like what if u wanna add subtitles and its in german …. HELP ME PLEASE

I had ordered the Delux version from amazon.de. It costs more, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s worthin it x]
If you don’t know German, you can just open a parallel purchase in another window in English and go as far as you can without purchasing it. Then if you need to look up a word, leo.de is a really good translator.
I wasn’t sure if people knew they could do that or not. If I’m just telling you stuff you already know, oops x]

Even if the DVD isn’t released in the deluxe version to the states…..there’s always E-bay. We’ll be able to get it either way. I think Interscope will wise up and see $ signs and release it to us here in the US.

that is so cool caught on camera is finally somewhere on US sites! I really hope they decide to release the limited fan package in the US too because that’s the one i really want (need that t-shirt!) does anyone know if they will??
also, if they aren’t going to release the limited fan package in the US, if i preorder it off amazon.de, then will the DVDs play on a US DVD player? They are formatted the same (NTSC or something?), but do they have some kind of region codes or something that won’t let me play them on my US DVD player?

The Amazon US listings do NOT include the exclusive fan pack release with the t-shirt.
Just keep your fingers crossed that we get the two-disc version after all.

@Alexis — the versions on the Amazon.de site say they’re NTSC as well so that isn’t a sign that these aren’t imports. The fact that you can’t preorder them like you can on the German and Canadian Amazon sites makes me think they might well be imports, but who knows.

I don’t think it’s an import; Amazon usually says so if it is. Plus, the format is NTSC, which is the standard system used in the U.S.
