FAN PARTY – CONTEST RULES & AGE RESTRICTION!
We´ve received a lot of sad emails over the last few days from fans asking why they are not allowed to particpate in the Fan Party contest if they are under the age of 16. We have now tried to figure out a way to make it possible for fans under 16 to participate as well! Please read the contest rules below for answers to this and other questions:
1. Fans who are under the age of 16 may not participate in the Fan Party contest*- no exceptions (this is due to German law*- no way around it).
2. If you are younger than 16 years old you can ask your parents to participate in the contest. In the case they win they can come with you (+ you can also bring one friend) to the fan party. We´ll set up a separate area for parents in the entrance area of the venue (parents may not enter the fan party though. The reason for this: We want to give as many fans as possible the chance to participate in the event and we don´t want parents to take up fan spots). Every fan under the age of 16 MUST bring their mother / father (siblings, relatives, friends of the family etc. do NOT count). Here is an example: Let´s say Patricia is 14 years old – she can NOT participate in the contest but her mother can and let´s assume she wins a ticket. Now her mother (and only her mother since her details are included on the ticket) can come with Patricia to the fan party. Since the mother won´t take up a spot, Patricia can also bring one of her friends. HOWEVER, if her friend is under the age of 16, her friend also needs to bring her mother or father. Otherwise access will be denied for the friend.
3. When you participate in the fan party contest you need to make sure that all the data you enter is 100% correct*- all your details will be included on the Fan Party ticket. The only way you will get access to the fan party is if ALL data on your ticket matches the data in your passport exactly!
4. It is not possible to change the data on your ticket. If you can´t come to the party for some reason your ticket can NOT be transferred to someone else.
5. Anyone who wants to enter the fan party needs to have a passport and their personalized fan ticket!
6. Data of all winners will be saved and available for the people at the door on the night of the fan party (they will double check every single person´s data!).
7. We hope that all these explanations clarify the situation. Please do not contact the venue (Hühnerposten) for any inquiries since they are not involved in the planning of the event.
8. In REALLY urgent cases you can send an email to: TokioHotelFanparty@Gmail.com – please only send sincere inquiries about the fan party (and only about the fan party) to this address. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible (we will only answer questions that are not already explained in the contest rules*- these rules can NOT be changed under any circumstance)

alright so this is whats happening…we are not the happiest people right about now. we are secretly ripping yer heads off. we are actually really all about tokio hotel but now that we find this out.its not such a great feeling. its one of those feelings where you just dont wanna dream anymore. all we ever wanted was to see them smile at us in person.or to tell them how much we idolize them. things like this make is difficult fer fans like us. There is millions of fans out there dying inside just to see them. and yea alot of them live in AMERICA!. Most fans In germany belguim have already gotten to see them like a gazillion and ten times. or at least thats what it feels like. we havent entered because fer that fact the we could possibly win but either way its still a dream crashed by the many adventures or MONEY!.we ourselfs live in AMERICA and having the party in germany doesnt help any. but if thats what they would like. then i guess most fans suffer. many hearts are burning deep inside and falling apart. diaries will be filled with the pain and misery of not being able to go to germany to see them.

I entered on the first two days it was open and then it occured to me that it wouldn’t matter if I won because there was no way for me to get there, so I stopped entering for fear of winning but not being able to

@ rena sunflash. That is very true i was thinking about the same thing they said this contest was world wide but it dosent look like it is cuase if it was they would have picked ppl from all the world randomly.

Yey, parents wil be given a separate area at the fan party – maybe the VIP (VERY IMPORTANT PARENTS) section. Then i would be glad to hand over my place to any of my daughter’s friends ( that is, if i win)

With regards to the large amount of German/Belgian people winning.. it’s in Germany and most people in the US just can’t go to Germany, no matter how much they’d love to (MEEEEE) and haven’t entered because they can’t get over there.

I’d like to know why it seems that each day, winners are chosen mainly from one country, and then a few others from elsewhere. Like today, it looks like there’s a lot of people from Belgium, and a few days ago there was mainly people from Germany winning, and then like three or four people from somewhere else. That seems a little weird to me, because I thought this was a random draw, and seriously; how likely is it that 4/10 random winners would be from Belgium? It’s a small country with most likely fewer people entering compared to the US … it just doesn’t seem like a completely random draw to me. And the amount of people from Germany winning … it’s the same thing …
That said, I’m happy for all the people that have won – they’re so lucky! I’d have to get another three jobs to pay for the expenses to get there, but if I won I would definitely make it there! My problem is that it doesn’t seem like people from everywhere are being considered in each separate draw. It doesn’t say anywhere on their website that it’s supposed to be a -random- draw, but doesn’t it defeat the purpose of a draw if they’re going to favor certain countries?

Wow…this is AMAZING. I had to calm down from my excitement and had to post some comment later cause I was waayy too hyper.
Wish I could go! My Mom isn’t really firmilliar with The Boys. Like,I mean,she knows how much I love them,but(if I did win) she probably wouldn’t wanna go. And I live in Canada. I gotta save up for my Grade 12 trip too! PLUS I don’t even have a passport. I think… >.^ I dunno…(You can tell I’m real smart huh-*sarcastic*)

@Angie: They will not pay for airfare. Just think.. Paying the travel expenses of over 500 fans? They can’t afford to pay that, and even if they could, I don’t think there’s a reason for them to… People are responsible for getting themselves to the party.

that sucks for those under 16 who will win. this process and all these rules sound complicated. oh well at least this change makes the contest more accessible to all TH fans. =]

Ok so what happens if the MOM is a fan as well. No fair that I go all that way and not see Georg! The rules didn’t cover that little bit of info. I see a lot of parents at theor concert that go in and stand in the mob along with their child. *me*
