Stuff is coming in slowly but surely. We had a cellcert and it was good to hear them again and thanks to the lovely halucy for providing the cert. It was a calm day, no fighting in the lines, some fan apparently climbed a tree to try to get pictures inside the bus, but she did not fall out, so… that was kind of dull. Heehee.
Anyway, watch for a guest blogger the next couple of days because life is taking me away from the computer mostly for a couple days.
But, enjoy this first video from San Francisco!!!
Recap from Miss Mary at the forum!
Also as per the usual, the concert started at about 10 after nine, a bit late.
At that moment, I couldn’t even tell you how I felt. That opening riff of Break Away and the curtain going up and just seeing Tom right in front of me was overwhelming. I am pretty sure I stopped breathing for a few seconds after I realized that it wasn’t all some sick fantasy and I was really seeing them with my own eyes. I’ve been dreaming of it for a long time, what can I say?
To be honest, the entire show is a bit of a blur for me. A whirlwind of me screaming “OMG” louder than I have ever screamed in my life. Only a few bits really stand out to me right now, though I’m sure once I’ve had time to digest this all, I will be able to remember more detail.
After Break Away was over and Bill stripped off the black leather jacket he was wearing (also wearing Diesel jeans, black studded collar, MJ black glove and a black graphic tee that I didn’t recognize) we moved onto Final Day.
I do have to mention that I never really believed people when they come back from the shows and say that Bill is as gorgeous as expected, Tom really takes the cake in person. I have to strongly agree with this now. I was watching him during BA, but of course, I had to check Bill out. I swear, I was wishing for a second pair of eyes and a third hand to hold a camera to capture it all. But then during Final Day, when the twins and Geo start jumping it was all I could do to keep moving and not just stand there and stare at Tom.
He’s breathtaking.
The smirks, the smiles, the dreads flying everywhere, the stomping around and the rocking the f*** out just had me wanting to melt into a puddle at his feet. I spent most of the concert staring at him after that. (He was wearing black tees, black hat and jeans, but I couldn’t see the jeans properly)
Stage banter then, though I never actually heard much of what Bill said, simply because the screaming was drowning his talking out. Come to think of it, even during the songs sometimes the screaming was drowning him out. I was a little disappointed in that; I come to hear him sing, not to hear others screaming off tune into my ear. Of course, then came 1000 Oceans, and I called M during that one, so she can (hopefully) attest to it being a great addition to the setlist.
Okay, this is getting uber long, so I’ll continue this in another post.

Oh my God, I had SO MUCH FUN there! :-D :-D :-D :-D I was in the 2nd row on Georg’s side. I stuck my tongue out at him and he looked at me and made a face back. XD And Bill made eye contact with me and then pointed towards me… oh wow, wow, wow wowowowowowow! AMAZING CONCERT EXPERIENCE! No water bottles or drumsticks or picks or towels to show for it, but I did get splashed with Georg’s water on my face and shirt, a little. XD
I wrote a **very comprehensive** account of the concert (the whole day, actually) on my Buzznet journal– http://anniushka.buzznet.com/user/journal/ :-D
I took some nice photos of Bill and one gorgeous shot of Georg during “Rescue Me,” but I must admit, they’re not up to the quality of some of those ones posted here. >.< XP

I can’t believe the drum stick slid through my fingers. How frustrating. But I also couldn’t believe that I felt like I was going to have a heart attack when Bill took that drink of water, and on the first throw I got splashed.
I was basically the most surreal night of my life. I have been a huge fan for a long time, but I don’t have very deep pockets at all (College student without a job). This was the first time I’ve actually been able to see them live. I got interviewed for TH TV, too!
My friend and I were actually in Dortmund when they were supposed to play in March, but of course the tour was postponed for Bill’s operation. I was crushed, obviously.
I can’t believe they didn’t play “Reden,” when that’s all that everyone was shouting! Oh well, maybe next time? It was still the greatest night ever. Especially since it was the last time I got to hang out with my best friend before she goes away to college.

Oh, and my sister and friend might be on TH TV soon. When it’s the San Francisco one, at the part where it’s outside zooming on the line, look for the girl with long brown hair stuffing her face with Chex mix and the girl with short brown hair and a big chest with a greyish bag over her shoulder and a blue and white striped shirt. They should stick out! And also look for the short-haired girl during the concert portion with her shirt falling down. She might be there!

My sister and her friend went on public transportation 1 hour ahead of my friend and I because I needed to do something and they’d hold our places in line. My sister said i could borrow her belt and shoes, since I didn’t have any of my own that I could wear. I spent like 10 minutes looking for the shoes, but I couldn’t find them and ended up taking her old running shoes. Hey, it’d help my feet not hurt as much and I could run to them if I needed to.
So my dad drove us there and got sort of lost, and while we were wandering around my sister called my phone and screamed that the band had just arrived and they saw Bill with a hat and his hair down. My friend and I freaked out! If I had just taken the running shoes in the first place we could have seen them!
So when we got there were were just chilling around and waiting. We thought it was a long line, but it got huge and wrapped around the block. There was this some shady guys that kept walking around the line and asking if there were any extra tickets, and they had tickets in the other hand! And before we went in they were walking around and asking if anyone needed tickets. They’re probably the guys that take the tickets and sell it for like 100 bucks more and buy pot.
I went to the bathroom with my sister’s friend at KFC right, and right when I got out everyone’s like, “They were just filming TH TV outside!” An I was like “Omifak! I am so sorry for choosing to go right now!” She said it was okay, though. We came back and my sister and friend said
So when we got it, it was about 8:00 PM and my group saw that we were pretty close, the 3rd row. For about an hour we stood packed and out backs and hips were hurting; it felt like we had cramps! A few times the curtain moved and a hand was visible. We all screamed when that happened and I thought I saw Bill’s nails.
Dude I WAS THERE! The lights went out and the curtain dropped, and my heart almost stopped! They looked like mannequins, too perfect to be real and in front of us! I was just thinking, “Where’s the real band?” But then they started playing and moving around, and I felt weird. The concert went by so quickly! It was only 50 minutes at the most, maybe 40. I was mostly scared of being killed in the crowd to fully enjoy the concert! The pit was hell in the form of fan girls!
Tom did the guitar hump! And after a song, Bill took his water bottle and drank from it, and then splashed the audience, and did that three times and threw it into the audience! Everyone went crazy, including me. I got splashed by everyone’s water bottles, adn so did everyone in my group! My friend got a huge gulp of Bill’s water in the mouth!
She’s a Gustav fangirl and screamed that she loved him a lot and got looked at by him at the barricade, and she thinks he told Tom when he was playing in front on Gustav during a song, and he scanned the crowd and found her, then let out a chuckle during Rescue Me. She thinks it might be in part because her shirt was down since everyone was pulling on it.
We were partially deaf after it and the back of my knees hurt from jumping and standing on my toes for a better view. There were girls ripping the guys’ towels in pieces since all of them got it and it’d be a good idea to do that.
After that we were in line for shirts and we were just talking, and my friend screams bloody murder. I look over and see the band coming off the stage into the other side of it, and my group and I start screaming along with 3 girls behind us. She screamed, “I love you, Gustav!” and they stopped and looked for a moment before turning around and going off. If she didn’t scream, no one would have noticed them!
She says that since she was so close to Bill she saw him up close and his eyebrows were filled in with like black eyeshadow and he had a zit on the side of his face I think it’s good, though, because he’s actually human!
I felt so bad after the concert, though. It was my first one and I never knew how crowded and hot you were. I had a headache and felt like I was going to throw up at one point. It might have been because I barely ate that day and didn’t drink enough for the concert.
It didn’t really hit me until today that we saw the guys that were on TRL, TV, the Tokio Hotel TVs, and everywhere else. They looked sort of blineed by the light a lot, in the beginning too when Bill was looking at the back. It was weird during the concert, though. None of the group was really excited, except my friend because of the Gustav and Tom thing.
My sister and her friend said that out of all the concerts and Warped Tour 08s they’d been to, it’s never felt like that before. Maybe it was because it didn’t exactly seem real at the time. I also got a few rows back somehow without even realizing it. But yeah, it was cool. I just need to tough it out for the next time I go to one of their concerts!

Oh my god, that was seriously the best night of my life. I was jumping as high as I could and screaming as loud as I could and I made eye contact with Bill so many times and he was smiling at me! I could’ve died. I got sprayed by Bill’s water bottle, too.
At the end, Bill tossed his towel, and about 10 people (including me and my best friend) grabbed it. I had it in a deathgrip, and eventually everyone gave up except for this big guy, my best friend, and me. Some other fans helped me and my best friend, but we decided to cut it into thirds, because none of us were going to give up. My best friend and I gave some small pieces to the girls who helped us (Thank you guys so much if you’re reading this!) but her dad was pissed off so we had to leave.
So, despite almost passing out several times and the dehydration and soreness everywhere, I could never ask for a better concert. Best night of my life by far!

The concert was AMAZING!!! I’m still in awe. It was my first concert, but holy hell, they were unbelievably awesome! I got so wet! I was splashed with water from all four of them, omg. Never thought I’d be so excited to be splashed with water lol. The sound was awesome, though it was hard to hear at times because of the screaming girls, which I’ll admit I was one of as well.
It wasn’t without its downside though. My friend caught Gustav’s drumstick but then some girl just grabbed it and said it was hers. Kinda like a tug of war for a while (she kicked me twice!) before my friend said fine and told her that she could have it if we could take a picture with it. She agreed but as soon as we let go, she ran away. We were pissed off, but the awesomeness of seeing Tokio Hotel cheered us up after ranting about that girl to my aunt (she drove us there) and just to let off some steam.
Other than that. AMAZING. Tom was the first one I saw, and hell, they are SO MUCH hotter in person!! :D

1st row, yep as Taylor says eye contact is amazing.
The concert was shattering in a strange and addictive blend of the best night of my life, and also that feeling ‘oh nooooo it’s over now I have to live without them so close to me’….
It was worth getting there last Tuesday. It would have been worth getting there 4 tuesdays ago. when i was front row and he started… all i could think, before rational thought was lost from my mind, was – this is what I wanted, this is what I said I’d do and I’ve come here and now here I am and there they are and this moment is perfect. Just like Bill.
