Thanks to votes from thousands of MTV viewers, Spears netted her third nomination of this year’s VMAs (she’s scored two others in the Best Female and Best Pop Video categories) on Friday (August 15), but she faces some stiff competition for the awards’ most sought-after prize. The Jonas Brothers are also up for Video of the Year, for their “Burnin’ Up” clip, along with Chris Brown’s “Forever,” the Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up” and, in typical VMA fashion, a relative newcomer. The Ting Tings scored their first VMA nod for “Shut Up and Let Me Go.”

But im really happy for them they got 2 nominations and made history and for us fans they always have best video of the year!!!

you know how many (lets call them “people”) try to bring our boys down simply because they don’t like them? its terrible, but they cant bring them down all the way even if they ignore the billions of fans and TH’s talent. If they didnt go down since ’05 i doubt they ever will, keep voting your booties off on ANY and EVERY category, in EVERY and ANY awards ceremony and if they dont win, we’ll know they didnt lose, simply because thats not possible to Tokio Hotel and their Fans.

Guys, thought you should know, according to AOL,
Britney was GIVEN the nomination from MTV. Like the literarilly(sp?) HANDED it to her because of last year’s performance. [Brought it a lot more money and publicity for MTV]
I doubt she or TT got more votes btw. MTV nicely puts it up on their website when they explain the whole thing about the nominations that it’s rigged.
“Who chooses the music videos that get nominated for MTV Video Music Awards? YOU! Well, not completely. This year we let music fans help us whittle down an enormous list of eligible music videos to choose the final nominees in eight important categories.”
But still.
They got nominated TWO times. Even WITH MTV’s rigging, they got NOMINATED.
