Tom of course puts some joking in here, but I hope that people will read this and heed his words. Apparently things were REALLY bad at the concert last night and it just does not have to be that way.

We’re just normal guys, and, frankly, if they really knew me, they wouldn’t want to see me so badly!”

i never been to a concert before but when i go to th’s concert i will be sure to behave. im going to listen to what tom is saying……..and people really need to listen.

seriously.. this is so freaking true! i was getting completely mauled at the columbus concert and it really takes away from the joy of seeing tokio hotel in concert. i just wish i could go to a show, be close enough to the band to see them, and not have crazy girls around me pushing me and cussing at me! it does get ridiculous.

I think next time us fans on this site should pick a show thats convenient for all of us to meet up at (When they come back to the US) and show them what respectful fans look like…that just gave American’s a bad name, and who the hell wants that?

we are totaly ok with Tom. There are so many fans who are very mad!!! I met a girl (a big fan of tokio hotel) and at the end of the concert in nancy some fans caught her and fought her just to take her place in front of the scene before an deiner seite (ich bin da). After the show, she was crying and she was very sad!!! We are very shocking when we are hearing this type of story. I’ m sorry for my bad english!!! XD ^_^

It should probably be mentioned that Tom said this in an interview that took place BEFORE the North American tour. I can’t remember exactly when, but I do know that I read this before I saw them at the Roxy.
Also, this quote is kinda taken out of context. He wasn’t talking about any fans from a certain place in particular, he was just talking about the fans in general.

oooooookay, That stupid, WTF Are you guys thinking about, I wher on one of the concerts of the th, this year, some girl was trying to pull toms closths , i said to that girl , are you fucking fucket up, you never do that, Tokio hotel they are the best, but they are just normal peopel, you guys have to be stupid, Never do that to them, they will like think that , the USA are Some SCREAMING AND SCarY LAND EVER, When they come to norway i will show them som recpet:) , and some happy them time over here.. Like some other people said it was hard to pay attention like 1/2 the time because it took so much effort to just stay standing in that crowd of people. I like barely remember anything from the first 2 songs. I remember nothing of Black.
Oh and just for the record I was one of those girls “fighting” over Bill’s towel. But it wasn’t really fighting, more like a very lame tugg of war. It was kinda funny though cuz they were all tugging with 2 hands and I just held on with 1 hand and took a picture with the other hand.
But I’m kinda embarassed cuz I know it looked so stupid and many people told us so, in dirtier language. And I was very disapointed in myself cuz I missed the boys bowing and then I didn’t get outside fast either.
So guys even if someones towel goes right at your face, which Bill’s did, do not grab it. It’s so not worth it!

lol dont be jessica ^_^ the guys arent stupid when it comes to their fans,, they know they can get crazy, and are probably just wishing that some people would have respect for other fans, and have a blast at their shows, not killing each other ,, i would be grilling my fans if i were famous, but the guys have been really sweet and patient about it so far considering the reactions that they get,
think about it girlies, what if a group of people turned violent over the sake of a towel or a bottle you had??
that would freak me out!!!!!

Just to clarify, this quote is from an article that came out a few months ago, so it is not directly related to American fans or the recent NA concerts. But the behavior truly was appalling. Fans honestly just have no respect for each other, and apparently no respect for the band itself and it’s just disgusting.

i was on the second floor and had the BEST time ever, no pulling, no pushing, no stumbbling over, no yelling into my ear and i had a GREAT view of the stage so i didnt mind the second floor it was awesome….i think TOM meant it for the people that were near the stage, i agree with him espeacially when Bill threw his towel i thought peole were going to kill each other for the towel, my only thought was “KIDS, GROW UP!!!”

omg all i can say is that i agree with him 100% and kinda wished he had said something last night. It was insane. half the time i couldn’t really pay attention to them and their music b/c i was trying not to fall over or get pulled down by the sea of people (literally, it was a sea with waves and currents and everything lol) i mean it really is obnoxious when people go that crazy. don’t get me wrong, it was an absolutely AMAZING show and they were amazing beyond words, but the whole i-will-get-to-the-front-no-matter-who-i-hurt attitude of the crowd definitely took away from the experience

hey, i don’t want to offend you or anything like that. i just wanted to say that i’m an american fan and i’ve never bbehaved like that. i have seen fans go crazy and get in fist fights over them, but i think it’s pathetic and stupid. they are right that american girls have attitudes, but only some. others (like me) are just like you. wow, that sounded stupid, but you know what i mean! lol, anyway, i totally agree with you, and i’ll gladly help you poke other american girls with erasers!
