Kreisch-Alarm bei der “Goldenen Kamera”: Auch die Band “Tokio Hotel” bekommt am 6. Februar den Preis. Und mit den vier Jungs aus Magdeburg werden mit Sicherheit auch viele junge, vornehmlich weibliche, Fans nach Berlin reisen und die Halle belagern.
Die Jungs kommen aus dem Feiern überhaupt nicht mehr raus: Tokio Hotel erhält schon wieder einen Preis! Am 6. Februar wird der Teenie-Band die “Goldene Kamera“ von der Zeitschrift “Hörzu“ verliehen.
Die Magdeburger Gruppe – die 18-jährigen Zwillinge Tom und Bill Kaulitz, Bassist Georg Listing und Schlagzeuger Gustav Schäfer – ist der Gewinner in der Kategorie “Musik National“. Bei der feierlichen Gala in der Ullsteinhalle der Axel Springer AG in Kreuzberg werden die Musiker vor den Gästen auch auftreten.
Der Erfolg der Teenie-Rocker ist wirklich erstaunlich – der Preisregen hört nicht auf. Tokio Hotel werden auch im Ausland gefeiert wie Helden. Gerade erst sind sie in Cannes als beste internationale Band mit dem Musikpreis des europäischen Radionetzwerks NRJ ausgezeichnet worden. Bei der Wahl durch die Radiohörer in 13 Ländern setzten sie sich gegen die Top-Gruppen Linkin Park und Maroon 5 durch.
Seit 2003 gibt es “Tokio Hotel“, davor hieß die Band der vier Jungs noch “Devilish“. Ihre Debütsingle “Durch den Monsoon“ übertraf 2005 alle Erwartungen und schnellte in die Charts. Tokio Hotel erhielt dafür den “Bambi“ in der Kategorie “Pop national“ sowie den Musikpreis “Comet“ und die “Eins Live Krone“ als beste Newcomer.
2006 folgten der erste Echo (beste Newcomer) und der World Music Award (erfolgreichste deutsche Band). 2007 nahmen sie ihren zweiten Echo entgegen – neben vielen weiteren Ehrungen. Bei der “Goldenen Kamera“ werden sie neben anderen Kylie Minogue und Robert de Niro treffen.
