The venue will not work with TH Management. They do not want to provide a drum riser, and most importantly, they do not want to provide enough security.
Hopefully, something new will come up.

Im sorry to everyone who wanted to make that show. Better luck to you all next time, hopefully you’ll catch another show.
I was so lucky to get tickets to the NYC show. My goodness.
Once again, really sorry about it. F*** the Chain Reaction for making things harder on TH. (I’m guessing Chain Reaction is the name of the venue, if not Sorry!!!!)

Well I don’t know about this Chain Reaction place because, well I don’t even live in the US but honestly if what “Me” wrote is true that guy from the venue seemed to be quite rude. Tokio Hotel however, probably didn’t get big venues for any of their shows because they are “introducing” themselves to the U.S now. I’m quite sure the boys don’t have a clue as to actually how HUGE their U.S fanbase is; hence the small venues. Also the other venues have no problem with added security and a drum riser so why would Chain Reaction complain? I understand that from what you said Desiree that Chain Reaction has their own security that make sure that nothing goes wrong; so do the other venues. I think the boys only wanted the extra security so that they could feel a lot safer especially since they know how crazy the crowds get at their Europe shows. I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with you; but honestly, is it so wrong for them to want extra security in order to have some tinge of comfort?
(P.S I’m sorry for all of you that really wanted to go to that concert; but maybe they will find another venue. And if they don’t they’ll find a way to go there)

The point I was trying to make is, bands like Tokio Hotel don’t play at Chain Reaction. What Tokio Hotel needs is a stadium not a local venue. And because Tokio Hotel’s management tried to get a small venue, they are not going to get the same “luxury” as a stadium would offer. I’m also glad TH isn’t playing there because CR has a reputation they need to keep.

Tom from Chain Reaction was very unprofessional. He said he was originally going to sell 250 tickets, but then decided to sell 400. PACK ‘EM IN! Then, his dealings with US, why was he talking to the fandom, bitching about having to get a drum riser and bitching about security? Very unprofessional. I am glad they are not playing there.

I feel bad for the people who were going to go to the show at Chain Reaction and can’t go now because the show got canceled but, I don’t think people shouldn’t be so harsh about the remarks they’re saying towards the venue.
Chain Reaction is a venue where they normally put on small shows rather then shows with bands that actually need security. It a place where “underground” bands play and most of the time the shows have crowds with high energy . Examples: jumping off stage, crowd pile ups with bands on stage and crowds so big you can’t move within an inch in front of you. Yes, they do get “big” bands every now and then but I’ve never herd of a band requesting barricades, a drum riser and extra security. The venue has their security that makes sure the shows go right and security does make sure no problems happen through out the night. I understand why Chain Reaction wouldn’t go out of their way to provide the necessities Tokio Hotel wants because Chain Reaction is known for putting on really good shows and wouldn’t want to change the way they run their shows for just one band.
I’m not taking sides on this situation because I’m a fan of Tokio Hotel but I’m also someone who respects Chain Reaction because a lot of bands that I like in the underground scene have played there dozens of times and have never complained about the ways shows go on there.

Hmm. . . It’s a little odd why some place wouldn’t WANT to offer protection for a band – isn’t that part of their job (or maybe it isn’t, I wouldn’t know)?
I just hope that these chain of cancellations will stop. . . I would hate to have my hopes ruined because of such an “excuse”.

I think it is rude of this place to not offer them the security they want. Like what they think TH aren’t famous enough for the extra security.
Where is Anaheim anyway? On the map it looked close to LA. So all of you that were gonna drive over to it, that sucks but they will probably go back to LA so you guys could drive there?

That sucks.. But about the security, I fully understand it. Stuff happened here in Europe and they’re just scared that something happends over there too. But that doesn’t take away that it sucks.
On the other hand, when Bill was ill they had to cancel 2 concerts too, but those were planned after the other concerts so you don’t have to worry that they’ll never come. They’ll find a way to solve it anyways.

I don’t think they’re gonna come up with something new, so little time. But hopefully they’ll come back soon due to the solds outs they had! n.n

That sucks, and WTF is their issue with the security. Of course they need security. And the drum riser, what are those expensive or something? Thats all so weird.
